From the moment we arrived at Thompson Nashville, the hospitality was exceptional. Our first impression came before we even stepped inside. Jason, the bellman, was prompt and immediately came out to greet us, opened our door, assisted us, and gave us a genuinely warm welcome. Those first few moments at a hotel matter, and Jason set the tone beautifully before we ever reached the front desk. That experience continued with Madeline at the front desk, who was outstanding. Before we even had an opportunity to ask, she had already upgraded our room. Our welcome letter was prepared and waiting for us, and she handled our arrival with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency. Our upgraded room has a wonderful city view and was exceptionally clean, tidy, and beautifully presented. Madeline made the entire check-in process effortless and immediately made us feel valued as guests. The same level of hospitality followed us to Marsh House, where Cassandra, our server, was wonderful. She was warm, engaging, attentive, and professional, and she added to the open and genuinely welcoming atmosphere we have experienced throughout the hotel. While we were dining, we received another unexpected surprise: a complimentary sparkling cinnamon bun with a thoughtful “Happy Birthday” message, compliments of Paris, the front desk supervisor. It was completely unexpected and such a thoughtful gesture. Those personal touches are what separate simply providing good service from truly understanding hospitality. What has impressed us most is that none of these experiences feels isolated. From Jason welcoming us at the door, to Madeline taking such great care of us at check-in, to Cassandra at Marsh House, and finally the personal thoughtfulness of Paris, there is clearly a culture of hospitality throughout this property. That also says a great deal about leadership. Based on the exceptional service we received from Madeline and the personal attention Paris showed us, Paris is clearly an amazing leader. She is the epitome of hospitality, and the team around her reflects that standard. There is an openness and genuine warmth at Thompson Nashville that makes you feel comfortable almost immediately. It doesn't feel forced or transactional. It feels like people genuinely want you to enjoy being there. Our stay is only beginning, and Jason, Madeline, Cassandra, and Paris have already made it memorable. This is the kind of environment that doesn't simply make for a wonderful hotel stay. It makes you want to come back again and again. Thompson Nashville could not have given us a better welcome.
