Don’t let pictures fool you

before my visit I called the hotel to ask about guest parking and was told that parking was available. However, at check-in I was informed that parking was valet only. The curtains in our room were not working, and the sun was shining directly into the room at 6:00 a.m., so we had to change rooms twice. The first room had a spider in the bathroom, which frightened my wife. In the second room, the curtains still did not work. Since it was our anniversary, we were disappointed that there was no acknowledgment—not even a note. At breakfast, we were given a complimentary drink coupon for the bar since the restaurant napkins were smell like **** , which we used. However, we later noticed that our room was charged for the drinks. I am a world traveler and a Marriott brand customer. This was my first time staying at a Virgin Hotel brand I see the difference

Generally, and average hotel with incompetent staff overcharging guests and creating hassle after the trip to try to resolve the charges. Not recommended.

From the concierge when we pulled up, to the attention to detail in the room, our experience was amazing. Even better having booked within our Capital One Venture X and using their perks. 100% we will be staying at Virgin Hotels in the future.

Good but not great

Went for several nights over the Christmas weekend in the Virgin hotel in Nashville. Our stay was a mix of good and bad, but overall the stay was good. First, the positives: 1. Front desk staff when available was very pleasant and looking to provide a great experience. 2. The room was well furnished and the décor and layout was well thought out. We really enjoyed the window side sitting bench. The room tea and coffee kits were high quality and the shower room was great. In all the hard product was very high quality. 3. The location was good for both being at the center of things and also allowed you to stay away from the Broadway hubbub. 4. The atmosphere is modern chic and consistent with the entire Virgin brand. Next the negatives: 1. Housekeeping wasn't good. Daily service seemed to do the minimum and even then they would ignore the DND. The room wasn't even vacuumed or bins emptied. If you're staying a single night, you'd never know. 2. Front Desk was often unmanned and did not answer calls from the room. We tried to call down a number of time and never got answered. We had better luck calling in on our cell phone or walking down. 3. Restaurant service was un uniform. We sometimes had great service and sometimes abysmal one from servers that seemed to hate their job. The restaurant was good but not great quality. Overall - I'd consider staying here again, but would certainly consider other options depending on price.
