Just got back and had a great time. It was windier this time and I was sad because the water didn’t look like glass, but that is not the hotel’s fault 🤣. 6 nights, party of five - 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We requested connecting rooms but got rooms across from each other. This actually worked out perfectly because we had a view of the ocean in one room, and a view of the fountain show in the other room. I ❤️ the fountain show! The hotel was impeccably clean the week we stayed. Kudos to the staff. Starbucks kcups provided for your keurig. Staff were kind and helpful. Housekeeping was ON IT, when we requested something. Pleasantly suprised because the area is known for “island time”. We brought lots of microwaveable meals with us but did eat at Cleo, Cinko, and Marcus. Cinko is GREAT for gluten free and dairy free. But all of the restaurants listed were accomodating to this. Food was great, but wasn’t happy being charged $24 at Cleo for “flat” water when the options presented to us were sparkling or flat. Cleo is not part of Hyatt though, they are part of SLS. We loved the Regatta buffet for breakfast!!! My oldest son cannot have gluten and dairy, he met with the Chef the first moning, and the next morning she had made him a huge batch of gluten free, dairy free blueberry muffins for the week! Wow!!! We were easily able to use Hyatt points to take off $1000 of food charges during check out (Hyatt restaurants only). We did have one erroneous $600 charge for seafood night at Regatta Buffet. We did not eat there for dinner at all, but during check out she removed the charge quickly. I was so grateful this wasn’t a bigger problem. I will keep looking to see if it’s re-charged to my card, as I’ve heard this has happened. The lifeguard staff were phenomenal. They are constantly alert! We snorkeled multiple times near the pier, and the lifeguard made sure to tell us where not to go to keep ua safe! We saw lots of turtles, fish, a large barracuda, and stingray. Pools close at 7pm during the summer which is great. The water park and Deans Blue hole pool for kids are amazing. I absolutely love all of the hot tubs. One of the persons in our party had a birthday while there. I had notified them ahead of time and they brought amazing treats for him two days. A slice of chocolate cake with a candle, chocolate covered strawberries with whipped cream, and a pineapple type cake. He also had a birthday massage while there at ESPA and enjoyed it.

My wife and i went there to enjoy a good meal at one of the 46 restaraunts they advertised at the airport. When arriving we found out there were only a few restaraunts open and those had a 90 minute wait. Heres the really funny thing, they refused to serve us since we werent staying on site. They were absolutely rude and obnoxious. They wouldnt even serve us a cup of coffee at starbucks. Trust me i will never go back and would highly discourage anyone from going.

This was the perfect vacation for the multi-generational family. Grandparents, parents, and children loved it!! So much to do and SUCH a beautiful resort! Every early morning, I'd walk around the resort and the workers were busy making sure everything was clean. We really appreciated the waiters and waitresses as they went out of their way to be super friendly! Thank you Baha Mar for making beautiful memories for our family! We loved everything!!

Where do I begin? My wife Lizbeth and I just came back from the most spectacular vacation we have had in the past 20 years! The Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, truly the crown jewel of the Bahamas, was the perfect place to spend our 20th wedding anniversary. Before we arrived on July 16th, we received correspondence from Mr Aranah Lloyd, who invited us to the most wonderful cocktail reception. Mr Lloyd went out of his way to create a memorable experience for my wife and I. When we arrived in our room, he had arranged for champagne, desserts, fruit,a delicious cheese platter and a beautiful personal note from Peter McMahon and Medhi Natanzi. We felt so loved. When we went to the Marcus steak and chop, Mr. Adiah Hope and his team helped make our 20th anniversary so memorable and special. He arranged for us to have the best seat outside. Mr Hope, a true gentleman went out of his way to make sure that the evening was perfect! The food was succulent! The service was off the charts, and the memory of the staff all singing to us for our 20th will never be forgotten! A special shout out at Marcus to Felicity, Darlene, and Vakhati, who helped to make our evening so special! Every day we went out to the pool for some relaxation and beautiful sunshine. The pool area was immaculate. So clean, so refreshing. Robert, the bartender, made the most delicious drinks, along with Sean and Antonio. Anything you needed, they were able to do it, with warmth and a big smile! We went to Costa Restaurant one evening for dinner with our friends. The ambiance and mood were perfect. Mr Dane made sure that we got the best table, he was so accommodating. In addition, our server Chalsen was so thoughtful and caring. He wanted to make sure that every detail was amazing. His knowledge of the menu was keen, and his recomendation of our entrees was spot on. Mr Lex, the chef, prepared my cowboy Ribeye. I have to say, it was the best I ever had. Cooked to perfection, it made the taste buds in my mouth explode. The best part of our vacation was the reception that we were invited to on July 17th for Hyatt Loyalist members. It was at this event that we became truly immersed in the Bahamian culture. The master of ceremonies. Ms Ann Marie was filled with infectious energy. It permeated through all of Nassau. Her thoughtful, robust way of life, the way she connected with my wife and I will never be forgotten. She was a master on the mic. The best MC I have ever witnessed. The dancers and band that came out had such energy and vibrancy. The colors, the drums, the horns, we felt the Bahamian culture come alive. My wife and I participated in the dance, it was truly memorable. During this reception. Mr Aranah Lloyd arranged for my wife and I to be recognized for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, while we were amongst strangers. We felt as if we were amongst true family and friends. That's how we felt. Thanks so much for the beautiful gift. It was greatly appreciated. We met some wonderful members of the staff at this party, Mehdi, Anmar, Donnie, Nicole, and so many other wonderful people. We had a chance to speak to everyone. We truly felt appreciated as Hyatt Loyalists. It goes a long way! At the front desk, Donnie, Yannie and Marieka went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. Including our breakfasts and drink vouchers. They were always there if we had a question. Big shout out to them! Several times after dinner, we went to the Manor Bar. The singers there were top notch. We felt as if we were in a super club in NYC. The vocals on the singers were astounding, as they sang the greatest hits of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. To see the waiters there dancing with the patrons was so much fun, the vibe was great. A true highlight of the vacation! In closing, this was the best vacation of our lives! Lizbeth and I feel that we have truly found a home at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. We have already discussed coming back next summer, as it can not happen soon enough. To all of our new friends, keep up the amazing work. What sets apart the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar apart from other resorts is the attention to detail, the value that they place on their clientele, the fantastic service, the cleanliness, the wonderful amenities, and the willingness to always go the extra step for the guests. It truly was Paradise. When we left the hotel, and Don in the valet put our bags into the car, he said goodbye. We wished each other well. Lizbeth and I paused for a second, for a moment, there was a melancholy feeling that we were leaving, but then an excitement started to build as we knew that we would be coming back, it just can not come quick enough. Thanks again for such a wonderful time, we will be seeing you down the road. Warmest Regards, Seth and Lizbeth Lapidus
