We stayed at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for spring break. The resort was HUGE! Larger than I had imagined. Was a gorgeous property with many things to do and keep your kids busy. My kids loved the BINGO! The waterpark was nice but not monitored well as I had some items stolen. I reported it and was told that nothing was in the lost & found (hard to believe). I emailed the hotel upon my return home and the contact said they’d look into it and I never heard from them again. The food is incredibly expensive. Was $38 for 2 chili dogs (no sides). $36 for 3 single scoop ice cream cups. We chose to order delivery from local restaurants to save some money. We are ate at the buffet for breakfast and enjoyed it! There’s always a long like so arrive early. We were bored 3 days in as you can only do so much pool and waterpark and wished there were a few more activities and things to do. There are no microwaves in the room. When I called housekeeping they said would be $50 for one for our stay. Overall was a good stay with the family but a few things to note.

This is a nice resort with a lot to do. However you need to reserve activities ahead of time. Impossible to get a chair at pools or beach without reserving or going super early in the morning. Everything is quite expensive. We stayed at the Reserve which was nice and service was much better there. We enjoyed having the lounge for breakfast and appetizers. We had a 2br residence which was nice. You need to make dinner reservations weeks in advance to get into the best restaurants at good times. We found it possible to reserve animal activities on the same day if done early in the morning. One day we did not have chairs reserved so we spent the day trying to find somewhere to sit and getting kicked out of everywhere. People were friendly, food and drinks were good but service was slow.

Martiqua was very kind to upgrade as to an ocean view room complementary on our arrival, the hotel is very clean, pools are so good, the beach is clean and water is Cristal blue, waterpark is amazing long wait times sometimes, you will find drinks anywhere on campus. Overall amazing stay

The Grand Hyatt at Baha Mar has beautiful grounds, and the people of the Bahamas are warm, welcoming, and made our stay enjoyable. However, the operating hours for the restaurants and on-site activities can be difficult to plan around, especially for larger groups, and the scheduling felt inconsistent at times. The prices in the on-site stores were also extremely high. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort, but better scheduling and more reasonable retail pricing would improve the experience.
