Pools, beaches, & Aqua Adventure!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and made great memories with our kids and extended family. The pools and Aqua Adventure Park were a huge hit, and there was plenty to keep everyone entertained. While we encountered a few maintenance and service issues, they didn't take away from our overall experience. My biggest hesitation about returning is the cost. It is a very expensive destination, especially for families, so I would hope to see a few improvements that better match the premium price. That said, we still had a fun, memorable trip and would recommend it to families looking for a great resort experience.

Family Vacation

Great vacation with the family. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Many different dining options for the family. We never had an issue finding chairs at the water park regardless of the time we were there. I highly encourage bringing your walking shoes and utilize the shuttles as you can.

Great Family Vacation!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Its an amazing location for a true getaway vacation! Everything you want is at your fingertips and the resort had trusted 3rd party tours, jet skis and all to work with. Excellent disability access and service! I can't talk enough about the amazing staff everywhere. Always willing to offer help, information or a smile and hello!

Five-Star Views, One-Star Towel Supply

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We have really enjoyed our stay at The Reef at Atlantis. The property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the beach and pools are wonderful, and the water park is a huge highlight — especially the lazy river, which has been great for my kids. The one real disappointment has been the towel situation. Three out of our first five days, the resort was out of towels at the pool/beach areas. That is frustrating at any resort, especially when families are moving between the beach, pools, slides, the lazy river, and their rooms throughout the day. What made it more frustrating was the management response. There are layers and layers of management, each of which don't have visibility into the issue so they spend their time gaslighting. Each time, we were told that this was an exception and that it “never happens,” even though it had already happened multiple times during our stay. I would have appreciated a more candid acknowledgment and a clear plan to fix it. Atlantis has a lot of magic. But for a premium resort experience, basic operational issues like towels should be handled much better. But they seem to have enough business that they don't care.
