Rosewood Baha Mar, perched on a pristine stretch of Nassau’s gorgeous Cable Beach, is the very best of what The Bahamas has to offer with a soft atmosphere of refinement and sophistication. An exclusive sanctuary that combines British colonial charm with a variety of modern amenities and a contemporary beach cottage interior. The guestroom design further reflects the residential ambiance found on Harbor Island. A curated mix of furnishings and finishes add to the fresh, modern design, while feeling distinctly Bahamian. All accommodations have private balconies, furnished outdoor living areas and butlers. There are four dining venues at the property. The Library features afternoon tea, champagne, sweet and savory pastries, and desserts. The Rosewood Baha Mar also features Sense, a Rosewood Spa, and a fitness center.

We’ve stayed at Rosewood several times now, and every time we leave, we find ourselves talking about when we can come back. There’s just something about the resort that makes you feel relaxed and taken care of from the moment you arrive. The property is beautiful, and we really enjoy the décor. It has a very elegant feel without being overly formal or stuffy. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully appointed, and always feel like a place you can truly unwind. Everything is thoughtfully done, and you notice the little details. For us, though, it’s really the service that makes Rosewood stand out. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, and the service feels personal rather than routine. You can tell that creating a great experience for guests really matters to the team. We also love that it works equally well for a couples’ getaway or a family trip. There’s plenty of luxury and relaxation, but it still feels comfortable and welcoming, which is a hard balance to get right. We have to give a special mention to Shanecquar Collie. She has been so wonderful to us during our visits and always makes us feel genuinely welcomed. She remembers the little things, is incredibly thoughtful, and has a natural way of making you feel at home. She is definitely one of those people who makes an already great resort experience even better. Overall, Rosewood has become a favorite for us. Beautiful property, wonderful rooms, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and enjoy being there. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

The cost of food at the Baha MarvResort is too expensive; a mix of Disney and Las Vegas.

I wish I was writing a great review but our stay at Rosewood Baha Mar was a huge disappointment. I spent a great deal of time prior to our stay making reservations, emailing with the Consierge, etc. We were lead to believe that this was the nicest of the hotels in the complex and more exclusive. We were told that guests from other hotels could not come into the Rosewood area of the hotel, unless they were staying there. We were told there was security to keep others out of this hotel whether in the hotel, at the pool or outside at the beach area. Also, in my research, the Consierge said there were very few children at the hotel. None of these things were the case. I have never seen so many crying, loud, screaming children, running down hallways, in the pool, in the restaurants, in the lobby area, even around the casino. I saw someone checking arm bands on the walkway from the other hotels to the beach pool area one day only. That was it. No one from the casino to the hotel. They let everyone in. We paid for an ocean view room but looked at the other rooms across from ours, with a slight partial view. The fan pool can be nice and tranquil until the children show up. While swimming, I saw cups/glasses, beer cans, menus by the pool's edge and in the flower beds from the day(s) before. No one was picking any of that up. The cushions on the daybeds were dirty. Definitely needed a good clean. Upon arrival, we had a note from the manager about a rejuvenating, tranquil stay. No such thing. They booked a wedding right below us with a band that echoed through the hotel outside until 10 pm on Saturday night. A note on Baha Mar. The complex had a basketball tournament going on in the convention center. The restaurants were packed and it seemed the reservation system was not implemented as there would be 30 plus people with their wild, screaming kids (no discipline there) waiting to dine. Mind you, this is at the best restaurants, not the restaurants designed for the kids. We figured out if you went to the bar in the restaurants you wouldn't be seated next to all these children so we changed our reservations to bar dining. The beaches were packed. So glad we didn't book a daybed there. I was really surprised while walking the beach, to see all the trash all down the beach that no one had picked up. We had planned to do a snorkel trip and maybe some paddle boarding but once we saw the chaos, we spent our time on the quietest part of the pool area on a day bed. It's expensive. It is supposed to be exclusive. Might as well have gone to Disneyland. I felt sorry for any of the other couples, maybe honeymooners, because this is not a place to go for relaxation. The staff tried. Several told us it didn't use to be this way. One server told me at breakfast in The Library, that children had come in the day before and left food all over the floors, stained the sofas, when they were not supposed to eat there. Rosewood needs to make a decision. Is this an upscale, mainly adult hotel or one that caters to families with small children? Side note, we love kids/have our own. This was a couples trip not one we planned to spend this way.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Rosewood Baha Mar on behalf of Benehealth while evaluating destinations for future wellness retreats and group experiences. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this is a property capable of hosting both intimate groups and large gatherings without sacrificing personal attention or the sense of refined luxury for which Rosewood is known. The location is exceptional. Guests have convenient access to the Royal Blue Golf Club, a beautiful Jack Nicklaus Signature course; the sophisticated oceanfront Baha Mar Casino; and Baha Bay, a 15-acre beachfront water park offering everything from exhilarating slides and a surf simulator to relaxing cabanas and a lazy river. This variety makes the destination especially appealing for groups whose members may have different interests and ideas of relaxation. Our private Junkanoo experience was one of the most memorable parts of the visit. The music, dancing, colorful costumes, and joyful energy gave us a meaningful taste of this treasured Bahamian tradition. It was immersive, celebratory, and an extraordinary way for a group to connect with the culture of the islands. Flamingo Yoga was another truly unique highlight. Practicing yoga alongside Baha Mar’s flamingos was lighthearted, uplifting, and unlike any wellness experience I have encountered elsewhere. It would be a wonderful addition to a group retreat—combining movement, mindfulness, nature, and just the right amount of unexpected fun. What distinguished the overall experience most, however, was the service. Every person we encountered greeted us with genuine warmth and a beautiful smile. The staff members were engaged, attentive, and clearly proud of the work they do. The service never felt rehearsed—it felt sincere. Sunsplash Events and Michelle helped us experience Bahamian culture and local excursions that can also be arranged for future groups. Their attention began at the airport, where a friendly representative met us and expedited our progress through the lines. The same thoughtful assistance was provided for our departure, allowing the trip to begin and end effortlessly. The catering was impeccable, with beautiful presentation, excellent flavors, and close attention to every detail. We also had the opportunity to sample several restaurants throughout the resort, and each delivered its own memorable dining experience. A very special acknowledgment goes to Joy Kim, Group Sales Manager. Joy made certain that every aspect of our visit was exceptional. Her professionalism, dedication, hospitality, and meticulous attention to detail reflect beautifully on the Rosewood brand. Rosewood Baha Mar is one of the most luxurious and thoughtfully operated properties I have visited. It offers an extraordinary combination of elegance, wellness, recreation, culture, dining, and heartfelt service. It is now at the top of Benehealth’s list for future wellness group bookings, and I would recommend it without hesitation.

The Rosewood Bahamar remains our favorite place! We come every year with our four girls and this year we brought another family as well! We always have such a spectacular time and SO much of that is due to the incredible staff that works on property. Specifically Ricarra, who knows all of my kids names and treats them like family,Charles & George at the pool who take care of us all day after day with the upmost, patience and kindness, & Felicia at the kids club who goes above and beyond to make our kids feel right at home. It is truly our favorite week of the year, and each year it just gets better and better. The Rosewood Bahamar continues to be our home away from home!
