Second time at the SLS. First time (2023) the experience was good, but unfortunately it went downhill. I had two rooms prepaid with breakfast included. It was a nightmare to solve the bill. It took two calls from my travel agent and also 2 trips to the front desk. I was overcharged a lot. Staff is incredibly rude and lazy. They simply do not enjoy working there. A lot of sad faces working there. All the checks come with a 15% service charge and you’ll get an ugly look if you do not tip. Add that to the resort fee and tourism fee. Room was lacking basic things like body lotion and water sometimes. It was not consistent. I gave management opportunity to correct things day one, (when I mentioned about the breakfast)but I was just another face. Now I have to wait for them to credit all the overcharges and hopefully get my money back. If you are an accountant; you might enjoy figuring out the bill. It is a work of art. Go to Mexico and enjoy good service

We recently stayed at the SLS in the Bahamas to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. To be honest, the trip didn’t start off the way we had hoped. Expectations weren’t quite met at first, and it left us feeling a little disappointed — which, as seasoned travelers, we know can sometimes happen. But everything changed when Gabrielle, the concierge downstairs, got involved. From the moment she stepped in, she completely turned our experience around. Gabrielle was not only incredibly attentive, but she also followed up consistently and made us feel genuinely cared for. Her professionalism, warmth, and commitment to making things right elevated our entire stay. Thanks to her efforts, what began as an uncertain getaway transformed into one of the most memorable trips we’ve had — and more importantly, she made my girlfriend’s birthday feel special and celebrated in every way possible. We are deeply grateful to Gabrielle for her kindness, dedication, and the extra-mile service she provided. She is a shining example of what true hospitality looks like, and she absolutely made the SLS experience unforgettable for us. Thank you, Gabrielle — we won’t forget it.
