Just returned from a stay at SLS Baha Mar and overall had a great experience, with a few things worth noting for future travelers. The property is very large with endless options for swimming, dining, and drinking. There is always something to do. One of the highlights is that you don’t even need to leave the resort to enjoy marine life — there’s a small snorkeling area right off the beach where you can see beautiful fish and even sea turtles. Just note that you’ll need to rent equipment if you don’t bring your own. And areas with flamingos on the property that were fun to see and watch! There is a wide range of experiences depending on what you’re looking for. The Privilege Pool (18+) is a fun, high-energy spot on weekends with loud music from noon to 6pm, and there’s also a nightclub open until 4am. This would be a great destination for adult kids or groups looking for activity and nightlife. That said, there were quite a few young children throughout the resort, and aside from one adult-only pool, there aren’t many quiet escape areas. Seating is something to plan ahead for. Complimentary pool chairs are taken early, so if you want a prime spot, plan to get there early or consider reserving chairs (around $100/day). Beach seating was a bit easier to find, especially toward the Rosewood side, but again — earlier is better. Cabanas and the more comfortable padded loungers also come at a premium price. The resort offers a lot, but many extras come at an additional cost (snorkel gear, floats, certain animal experiences, even canned water). There are hydration stations throughout the property, but the water had a bit of an odd taste. The best option we found was in the lobby where they had infused water and a bowl of ice daily — a nice touch and actually refreshing. Food and drink pricing adds up quickly — cocktails run $18–$25, beers around $10, and appetizers start around $25. One example: $28 pancakes at Tingum that were dry and underwhelming (though the hostess was lovely and very friendly). We also had dinner at The Swimming Pig and found the pizza underwhelming. On the flip side, Pizza Lab was excellent with lots of options and great flavor. We had a great lunch at 25 North, enjoyed shrimp tacos at the adult pool, and room service was solid. The beach food trucks were a hidden gem with the most reasonable pricing on property — just note their limited hours. Our room (#839) was a corner oceanfront with a wraparound balcony, and the views were absolutely spectacular — overlooking both the resort and the ocean. The room itself was spacious, and we appreciated the nice towels, robes, and slippers. One downside was that the toilet area was quite small and felt a bit cramped. The refrigerator is also very small, making it impossible to store any meal leftovers. Service overall was a bit inconsistent. The automatic 15% gratuity may play a role, as some interactions felt less enthusiastic. However, there were several standout team members who truly made an impression: Danielle at reception — friendly, welcoming, and helpful Dominic and Cory R at the Sky Bar — great energy and service Denay (housekeeping) — incredibly sweet and friendly, and she did a fantastic job keeping our room clean each day And the entire Bungalow Bar crew — Diniero, Terrille, James, Pedro, and Cory — who made it one of our favorite spots with great service, fun personalities, and consistently good drinks Sunsets at the Sky Bar are absolutely worth it. We were disappointed to miss the nightly water show due to timing, but it looked like a great feature. Overall, this is a beautiful, high-energy resort with a lot to offer. While there are some areas that could be improved, we would absolutely consider returning — especially with our adult kids, who would love the nightlife, activity, and overall vibe.

Tenia, Maceo, and Johnnie were excellent at Carna. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and the service was quick. I was celebrating my birthday and they gave me a chocolate mousse cake which was excellent. Highly recommend.
