We had the best time staying at the grand Hyatt baha mar. All the staff were great and extremely welcoming and uplifting. They captured the island paradise vibe and make the experience better. Everyone went above and beyond: from the staff at the front desk to the lifeguards at the pool to even the maid service. The special shout out goes to the staff at the Cleo restaurant. The food was fantastic, but we went back 4 times because of the staff. The hostess, Stacy, was so positive and incredibly good at creating a joyful environment — her jokes were on point for getting our day started. But she really set the bar high for the standards of service. Kirkland, our waiter, made us feel like family and that we’ve known the folks there for years. The manager, Tamara, was so kind as well and she clearly knows how to train her staff. When we return to the Bahamas, we hope to see these folks again because it was the cherry on top of a wonderfully relaxing trip.

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of a business trip. Every member of staff I met was lovely - special mention for Roy at the Pizza Lab bar who made me feel welcome when I was self conscious about eating alone. I would have given it 5 stars except for one thing which spoilt it. My flight back to London is late in the evening and checkout is 11am. I asked for a late checkout and they extended until noon. I was told I could use the resort facilities for the rest of the day which is great BUT they have NO shower facility you can use. What is the point of letting you use the pools and beach if they then won’t give access to a courtesy room with a shower? Who wants to do a transatlantic flight feeling sticky from the beach? A hotel of this level should have a courtesy room - this is the first resort I’ve ever been that doesn’t allow you access to a shower after check out and I travel a lot. It lets the place down.
