Had a great experience at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. I came down with 2 friends, all of us from NY seeking sunshine and the Baha Mar did not disappoint. In particular, we loved Corey Rolle at the SLS Skybar. He was so beyond great to us, chatting with us and sharing stories. He also happen to make one of the best skinny margaritas we had all week (we tried them in almost every bar). We also loved Everette at the swim up pool bar. Super nice guy, very engaging and also made great cocktails. Big shout out to Jasmeen & Antonio who helped us get our front row beach chairs each day. These guys work so hard all day in the sun and they aim to please. My only negative was the nasty bit** manager at the front desk on the afternoon of March 2nd. I kindly asked for a late checkout as we had a 5:00 pm flight and she was rude & difficult telling me they were fully booked and couldn’t accommodate me. I told her I was a World of Hyatt member and then showed her on the Hyatt app that there were DOZENS of available rooms for the next day. Literally DOZENS and she said that the app was wrong! Someone needs to fire her! She doesn’t belong in a customer service role! Took a couple of runs down the lazy River, enjoyed Marcus up top for the sunset and had great meals every night! Other than that the front desk, our experience was great! We’ll be back and hopefully the one bad seed won’t be there.

We have visited the SLS about five or six times over the past four years, and every stay has been wonderful. The property itself is beautiful, but what truly keeps us coming back is the level of service. In our experience, the SLS consistently delivers a far better service experience than the Grand Hyatt. One person in particular who always stands out is Christy at the concierge desk. Somehow, she remembers us every time we arrive, which is incredibly impressive and makes us feel genuinely welcomed. This trip we were actually hoping to see her earlier in our stay, but we didn’t run into her until about three days before we left. As soon as she saw us, she immediately asked how our trip had been and whether we had been well taken care of. We told her we had been having a good time, but she still went out of her way to work her magic and made some truly amazing things happen for us. That level of care and attentiveness is something you simply don’t see everywhere. Christy is exceptional at what she does. She is warm, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests. I always enjoy spending time chatting with her, and she consistently goes above and beyond in ways that make our stays special. While there were a couple of small things that didn’t go perfectly during this visit, Christy completely turned the experience around for us. She is exactly the kind of person who defines great hospitality. We absolutely adore Christy, and honestly, she is one of the biggest reasons we will continue coming back to the SLS.
