Away from the hustle and bustle.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

A great resort away from main Phuket hustle and bustle, around 1.5 hours by van and around 45 minutes to airport. Service and facilities were great and beach amazing. The rooms need updating and house keeping lacking detail. Natai Beach Resort is not technically on Phuket island with no local amenities near by, with a free shuttle only operating 3 times a week to a small local town. If you're planning activities be prepared to sit in a van for extended periods and to pay for it. A one week stay would be more than enough.

Avoid the Beach Houses, otherwise a fairly good hotel.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Our check in was miserable and not up to the Thai standard. We booked and received a Beach House. These were probably okay 10 years ago, but they are ready for demolition now. There are some very creative 'Photoshopped' photos of these rooms. Fortunately we only stayed one night, any more would be unbearable. We looked at other rooms and for the money they seemed substantially better, as other aspects of the hotel were so much better we may return. The beach, pool and sunsets are good. The restaurant is good, but not memorable. Breakfasts are okay. Apart from the check in the staff seemed a happy bunch. If you have a car the location is great, if you are without transport and staying longer you may feel isolated. The management dealt with our complaint in a very equitable way, this is a good measure of a well run hotel.

What a disappointment

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

What a disappointment when we arrived. The website looked so promising. We have visited Thailand many times and have always been very happy with the hotels and resorts where we stayed. Not only are the rooms “very tired” but the whole resort needs to be revamped. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making it very difficult for them not to be able to provide the service that they would like to give. When ordering our evening meals, we often had to wait 30-40 minutes before our meals were served. The owners could make this resort really lovely if they bothered to spend some money improving the majority of areas that need to be repaired and updated. We will definitely not be returning to this resort.

very pleasant with only a couple of downsides

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, the food was very good (albeit overpriced for Thailand but it is a hotel and not much in terms of menu choices), the pool is large and well maintained and the fact the hotel is directly on the beach is definitely and upside. Now the downsides: to be honest there was only two issues i had. 1) after paying what I thought was a premium price for a beach bungalow I would expect such but the reality was although directly on the beach was very old and tired, outside and in they look and feel like they've fallen into disrepair and have been forgotten about for some time. 2) the location, it is perfect if you only stay on site (especially the sunsets) but if you want to go anywhere then its a taxi ride as its in the middle of nowhere, it would have been nice for a shuttle bus into Phuket and back that runs all day. overall would I stay here again, the answer is yes but only if I wasn't planning on leaving the site, I also wouldn't book the beach bungalow again. In my personal opinion I also wouldn't put this hotel at 5 stars (it doesn't come close to criteria for that), I would put it at a high end 3 star or at a very push a 4.

Renovation VERY needed and immediately

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We were shown a photo on internet of a BEACH BUNGALOW... It needed a MAJOR renovation !! Door wouldn't lock ?? Floors were OLD and dirty... Walls were corroding, it was disgusting. We sent photos of our bungalow TO THE HOTEL, we NEVER heard back from them ??!! We did not complain while we were there, why aggravate yourself when you fly 12 hours to this resort... we enjoyed the beach, the pool and the atmosphere.. BUT the BUNGALOW... was more than awful.. We would appreciate hearing back FROM THE HOTEL!! We are not the only people with this opinion... read for yourself... on internet and Booking.com
