If you think "all-inclusive Jamaica vacation" and "bespoke experience" are mutually exclusive, welcome to The Caves. Built into honeycomb cliffs that drop off into the Caribbean Sea, a dozen colorful wooden cottages are nestled among 10 acres of lush vegetation, making for a secluded retreat that's increasingly rare in Negril. Sidle up to a candlelit table carved into a limestone grotto at the Blackwell Rum Bar and dine on gourmet home cooking under the stars – this is beach living at its best.

Excellent Breakfast everyday. excellent service, Vanessa, the chef, was attentive, informative and always cheery. Great local dishes. Randy, Cheryl and Stacey (servers) were always welcoming, but also polite and discrete. The location is breathtaking. but also intimate and relaxing. Plus charming and relaxed. All the staff: Pernaldo and Omar (dinner servers), Mellissa and Simone (Reception), Omar (the groundskeeper), Chevon (security), Tannecea (management) are top notch. They hit that balance between welcoming warmth and politness that is just what you need on vacation. Mellissa was a huge help with a dificult billing issue, great communication. Tannecea was great point of reference as a go-to person in management, sensitive but also organized. The massages were very good. I worked ten years as a massage therapist in the best hotels in NYC and these therapist were great. The yoga teacher was serious and challenging, but patient and precise in her comments. My one criticism concerns the physical plant. I think some money needs to be invested in bringing the place up to the very best standard. It is already gorgeous, cool and laid back. However it is getting a little worn out at some some of the edges. The private hot tub needs an updating. The rum bar in the cave could become really great. The ladders down to the water need to be replaced. The tub and shower in our cottage was super clean and worked great, but it was getting a little worse for wear.

My mom and I went to the Caves for my birthday. The staff was so incredible and the VIEWS!! Stacy was a gem, Randy was the BEST bartender, Fabian was the sea master, Miss Cheryl was the sweetest server, and Ronaldo was the best waiter. They knew me by name and were so pleasant. The food was also incredible, especially the soup!!! I had the best time and was so sad to leave. You must do a stay here at least once in your life!

My girlfriend and I just got back from a phenomenal, 7-night vacation at The Caves-Negril, and we couldn't have had a better experience!!! We do not have a lot of all-inclusive resort experience, however knew that we were looking for a boutique-y, inclusive space. The Caves exceeded any expectations that we had out of the water. The staff quickly became family and we are so grateful for each of them.... They are so warm, welcoming, and prideful. There is something to be said about the way people make you feel… and so many of the people made us feel as though we were invited into their own home. Stacy, Cheryl, Randy, Zoom, Floyd, Peronaldo, Fabian, Earle, Vanessa, Omar and Glen among others made our experience much more magical. Stacy went above and beyond for us. We additionally loved Rosa, the yoga teacher, who provided us with an entertaining yoga instruction. We stayed in the garden view room and loved it. Spacious yet cozy and the nightly turndown service was a big highlight. The outdoor shower added to the authenticity and rustic charm which we loved. Unlike a larger resort, every room is steps away from the water and anything you would need on property. The convenience was unmatched- always a stone’s throw from food, drink, restroom, ocean, or personal belongings. The food did not feel mundane or repetitive as it may at a typical inclusive report. The a-la-carte ordering and options allow us to try new foods and get what we want without feeling wasteful. The breakfast was genuinely top tier, while all the meals felt plated to perfection with a stellar balance of protein, starches/carbs, and vegetables. In addition to the actual food, the dining experiences was wonderful as they provided an elevated experience with fine-dining-like cutlery, bread service, drink, service, etc.. In addition, we greatly enjoyed having a slice of privacy and tranquility all while being a short taxi ride away from the Negril activities. We easily transported ourselves to a live reggae show, to bars, and local restaurants down the road. The staff was eager to provide recommendations for specific activities that we wanted. We absolutely loved the Negril activities, however, loved even more to be able to come ‘home’ to such a quiet and serene space that let us tap into our true relaxation. On property, the wonderful lifeguards will help you learn how to cliff jump off the various heights, as well as assist you in snorkeling tours around the area. It truly says something that a lot of the catamaran and boat tours specifically come to the caves daily to allow their passengers to swim where we were able to call ‘home’ for seven days. We both came home, feeling enlightened, welcomed, and relaxed. There is no denying that we will be back to the farthest Western point of Jamaica to indulge once again in the slice of happiness that is The Caves.

The trip was one of the best stay my wife and I have ever had. We have traveled from Greece to Dubai. The food is all inclusive but it is top tier. I was shocked how gourmet the food preparation was. This is not mass produced food awaiting guests, but carefully curated food. The views are incredible. There are views on top of views on top of views. The resort staff was impeccable. Glen is epitome of professional and the waitress Trouble is GOOD trouble lol. She is a welcoming soul. The resort is very private so only I think 14 units. We had the two bedroom which was exceptional. The upstairs balcony overlooking the ocean. We can’t rave about how the pics and food raving undersell this property. Make sure to do the cave dinner! Wow! A life changing experience. You will NEVER forget the experience and the five course meal is beyond the price asked.

I have been eying up The Caves Hotel for the last couple years and me and my husband just had the pleasure of getting to experience its magic. Built into a cliff side the beauty and charm of the place is unmatched. The staff were all so helpful and kind and the food always had some Jamaican flare which we appreciated. We were a short walk from Kool Vibes (which we ate at twice!) their jerk chicken and conch curry was delicious! We also checked out Rick’s Cafe and a few other local spots. It’s hard to say anything negative about The Caves as I would 100% come back. No tv in the room which caught me off guard but honestly I didn’t mind. If anything it just helped me be more present in the moment. The finishings are not what we are use to with a luxury boutique hotel but everything worked, the room was cool and clean and the bed and pillows were comfy! Thank you for taking such good care of us!
