Moon Dance Villas

Friends invited us to join them at Idle Awhile The Villas. We felt welcomed as soon as we drove onto the property and were warmly greeted by security at the gate. Our beautiful 3 bedroom villa was amazing. The location was perfect - on the beach just steps from the water and surrounded by lovely well maintained gardens . The villa was spacious filled with all the amenities. But most impressive and what made our visit so special were the people who took care of us. Everyone was so hospitable. Our housekeeper, sweet Senisha, kept everything fresh and clean. Rachael was our amazing cook. I’d call her a chef! She made delicious breakfasts, lunches and an incredible seafood dinner on our last night. Her cooking, baking and presentation were excellent! Our butler, Hopeton anticipated and attended to our every need; he cheerfully greeted us in the morning with fresh hot coffee , put towels on the beach chairs, kept the cooler filled, served meals and drinks , made reservations…the list goes on! He was joyful and a joy to be with.

The Villas were quite nice and comfortable and where we stayed was directly on the beautiful 7 mile beach . They come with a cook and butler ( a new experience ) Our cook was Rachel. She was wonderful . Very sweet and the best chef ever. What a treat to have such fabulous meals. Everything was so good. Breakfast was amazing and truly every meal an experience . I’m really going to miss her when I have to fend for myself . And our butler was Hopeton. He was equally great. He seemed to know what you wanted before you asked for it. He was eager to please and had a great attitude . A smart young man whom I hope goes far in his career . Hopeton really seemed as though he wanted to make our vacation the best it could possibly be , and he did! We had a few fill in butlers, Delors and Carlton. Both were just wonderful. And a fill in Chef, Chis and Foster. Both just great. Our housekeeper Seneisha did a very good job of keeping our place spotless everyday. All of these employees had a positive attitude which kept us happy. We love this beach, this villa, this place. A great location for walking to restaurants and groceries and shops.

We had a terrific time at Idle Awhile Villas in Metric Jamaica. The villas are located right in the middle of 7 mile beach with numerous bars and restaurants within a short walk. The front of the villa is within 50 steps of the sea and there is a great view of the sea and sunsets. The location can not be beaten. The villas are clean, modern and each bedroom has its own full bathroom. The villas come with your own butler, chef and housekeeper. Our Butler was Hopeton and he was beyond amazing. Highly professional, very hardworking, anticipated every one of our needs and was a great problem solver. If you stay at the villas do yourself a huge favor and request Hopeton in advance. You can thank me later!! Our Chef was Raquel, like Hopeton could not be beaten. She was an amazing Chef and could cook all sorts of different cuisines. She even prepared us a great Chinese dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year. Of course her Jamaican dishes were amazing as well. The daily breakfasts were great too and she changed things up every day to give us a nice variety. Our housekeeper (Sanniesha) did a terrific job too and was so nice and hardworking. The landscapers working the villas also worked very hard and kept the outside of the unit in great shape. One of the landscapers always took a minute or two each day to say hello and tell us "Joy to the world" -- a very happy guy who's enthusiastic attitude was infectious - his name was Emanuel -- the world needs more happy people like him! Last but not least was the General Manager Xavien. Xavien would stop by daily to make sure everything was going well on our trip - a really nice guy. Since the Butler Hopeton took care of absolutely everything we never needed help from Xavien but according to Hopeton Xavien is a great guy who really cares about the guests and staff. Overall the stay was perfect and the staff was even better!!!

My husband, son, and my sister stayed in the Idle Awhile Villas and we can not wait to return. From the employees, to the location, the food, the accommodations, everything was spectacular and this vacation will be hard to beat! The villa felt so comfortable, grand and it felt like an home away from home. Our butler, Hopeton, was the kindest, most warm and caring person we’ve ever met on this planet (literally). My son genuinely misses him and refers to him as his “guardian”—you know when this comes from a child, it’s pure and genuine. My sister and I were both tearful saying goodbye to him but we know it won’t be the last time we see him and these wonderful villas. Thank you for giving us the experience of a lifetime.

We stayed at Idle Awhile Villas in January 2025 and had a wonderful overall experience. The property offers a peaceful, intimate atmosphere that feels private yet well cared for—ideal for travelers seeking relaxation with personalized service. While there were a few minor kinks early on, they were addressed immediately and professionally, thanks largely to Mr. Roach, whose hotel management and attention to detail were truly exceptional. He is an absolute asset to the property and made sure everything was handled quickly and with genuine care. His presence alone elevated the entire stay. Our two-bedroom villa (Mango) was beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, providing comfort and privacy throughout our visit. Having a private chef was a highlight—every meal prepared for us was consistently excellent, fresh, and tailored to our preferences. Instead of choosing the all-inclusive option, we opted to grocery shop with our butler, which worked out to be far more economical, especially since we are not big eaters. This option gave us flexibility while still enjoying attentive, personalized service. The watersports staff was outstanding when available—friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help make the most of the beachfront experience. Overall, Idle Awhile Villas delivered a memorable and relaxing stay with standout service, beautiful accommodations, and a strong sense of hospitality. We would absolutely return and recommend it to travelers looking for a boutique villa experience with a personal touch.
