Our destination wedding at Idle Awhile in Negril was truly a dream come true, and a huge part of that was thanks to Tiona Watson, the incredible wedding coordinator. Planning a wedding from afar can be nerve-wracking, especially when you're trying to coordinate every detail from another country, but Tiona made the entire process feel effortless. She worked with us for over nine months leading up to our wedding, scheduling numerous video consultations and always making time to answer questions, offer guidance, and help us stay organized. What impressed us most was how available and responsive she was. We communicated constantly through WhatsApp, and no question was ever too small. I had many questions throughout the planning process, and Tiona was always patient, knowledgeable, and reassuring. She expertly coordinated our in-person planning experience when we arrived, arranging vendor meetings, cake tastings, customized menus, signature drinks, and helping us finalize all the details. She was also instrumental in assisting our guests with their bookings and coordinating additional events throughout the weekend, including my bachelorette celebration and our welcome dinner. Tiona's local connections and experience were invaluable. She knew exactly which vendors to recommend and helped us focus on what we truly needed for our wedding without feeling overwhelmed. I also had a few unique requests, including custom branded coconuts for our guests, and she worked directly with the resort and vendors to make it happen seamlessly. Once we arrived in Jamaica, Tiona handled the coordination of the décor, vendors, timeline, and events so that we could actually enjoy our wedding weekend. Everything came together beautifully, and we were able to be fully present with our family and friends instead of worrying about logistics. I'd also like to give special recognition to the amazing staff who made our stay unforgettable. Jermaine was an outstanding butler and bartender throughout the wedding weekend. Jason prepared incredible home-cooked meals that our group is still talking about. Housekeeping, especially Karlene and Herma, kept everything spotless and made us feel so well cared for. We stayed in the Seagrape Villa, which was the perfect size and setup for getting ready with our wedding party. The accommodations, service, and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Our wedding weekend was everything we hoped for and more, and we have Tiona and the entire Idle Awhile team to thank for creating such a memorable experience for us and our guests. If you're considering a destination wedding in Negril, I cannot recommend Idle Awhile and Tiona Watson highly enough.

The property is beautiful, very well kept and clean. We stayed in the Mango villa. Our room was very clean with great lighting and private and peaceful. We had a great personal chef and housekeeper and an amazing butler named Hopeton who went above and beyond during our stay. He helped us with all our needs such as taking us to the grocery store and a souvenir store where we were able to exchange money. He is very pleasant and super helpful. The beach was amazing, the water was very warm and crystal clear. We loved the location with tons of restaurants and activities right along the beach and in walking distance. When we go back, we will definitely ask for Hopeton!

Having spent time in the idle awhile beach property previously , and knowing it was also a beautiful stay, the villas are an easy choice for families, couples or friends coming to Negril. The Mango villa is a stunning and spacious house, and absolutely spotless thanks to Herma. Hopeton and Christopher contributed hugely to our amazing stay, with beautiful food courtesy of Chris, and incredible service and care from Hopeton. Travelling around the island was always made safe and easy with our driver Tyrone and location on 7 mile couldn’t be more perfect, you are never short on activities or excursions! Negril is a paradise destination and Idle Awhile villas is nothing short of dream vacation experience!!
