About the Hotel

The only hotel in Europe built on stilts, the Palafitte enjoys an exceptional setting. Each one of its 40 rooms is a spacious individual bungalow. The exclusive architecture gives the guest a feeling of escape, inside and out. Besides the individual bungalows, the hotel comprises of a large lobby, which has been newly renovated in harmony with the architectural style of the location, a reception, bar, smoking room and a restaurant with a large terrace. The restaurant has been recently renovated and renamed "La Table de Palafitte". The new décor accentuates the main assets: the view over the lake and the Alps. The cuisine favours local market produce. Besides the classic dishes that are available throughout the year, the menu is tailored to the seasons.

We spent two wonderful days just relaxing at the waterfront. The interior design is timeless, practical and lofty with the high ceiling and the private terrasse.

Amazing! We stayed two nights with our 11 yo and 15 yo in a lakeside room. Stay was fun, luxurious and beautiful.

Cannot recommend Palafitte enough! Added cots to a lakeside room for our 2 kids. The room was very pretty and plenty big even for the four of us, and of course the view was amazing. We swam off of the balcony and back and forth to the summer bar in the beautiful clear green water. The staff were delightful - especially August.

Watch out! My friend and I had reserved this hotel for our stay during a music festival, but the hotel just canceled our booking at the last minute when it was impossible to find anything else to book nearby. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing service.
