The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi

Our overall experience was exceptional there ...starting from welcome to our checkout.. especially their hospitality, food quality n vast menu & the luxurious stay..

Our stay at Taj Mahal, New Delhi was truly exceptional—probably the best stay we’ve had at any Taj property so far. What stood out the most was the incredible hospitality. From Ms. Subarna, the Assistant Manager, who ensured everything was perfect, to Ms. Gurpreet, who very warmly showed us our room and explained everything so thoughtfully. A special mention to Mr. Deepak at the Club Lounge—the kindest person ever—who made some of the best drinks we’ve had to date. We were celebrating my wife’s graduation, and the hotel very graciously upgraded our room, which made the occasion even more special. The room was beautiful, extremely clean, and stocked with wonderful amenities. The celebratory cake waiting in the room was such a thoughtful touch. We spent a lovely evening at the Club Lounge, which had a great atmosphere and excellent service. The fitness centre was also fantastic—well equipped and complemented by a relaxing sauna, jacuzzi, and steam, which both my wife and I really enjoyed. Although the restaurant doesn’t serve a buffet, the dinner and breakfast were delicious, with multiple vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. Overall, this stay perfectly reflected the legendary Taj hospitality—warm, thoughtful, and truly memorable. We left with wonderful memories and are already looking forward to our next stay.

Checking in late at 9:30pm. During the process, at least two individuals intervened with my agent and interfered with the process. There’s absolutely no privacy, no comfort in the checking in process inthe loud, open lounge. The agent did her best under the circumstances, but a miserable experience. The pool is nice, but the pool service the following day was non-existent - ordered a simple drink at 12:30pm and after repeated requests received it a full hour and 15 minutes later. It’s just a bad experience in a supposedly 5 star hotel. Yes, they apologized, all 3 different waiters but no reason was given. I saw most other people equally irritated at the lack of food/drinks service. Also, there’s zero attentiveness from the pool boys. But then again, it’s the same in most Indian “luxury” establishments where I’ve been to. No comparison to eg Thailand. I think this was two times in one at Taj Mahal, New Delhi - first and last.

Good friendly caring service. Specially a long stay becomes very comfortable .
