Good location, comfortable stay
We enjoyed the location, easily walking to most of the places we wanted to visit including the French Market and World War II museum. Sazerac Museum Canal Street is close and the Ruby Slipper two blocks away is excellent for breakfast. Room and bed was comfortable. I just wish they had better cooling and lighting in the rooms. Bathroom was very good and we received replacement bottles of water every day. Unique hotel layout and design, we loved the historical feel of the entire space including the courtyard. Would return.

Let me tell you why this is my fave hotel…
This is my favorite hotel and has been my fave since I first came about 5 years ago when it was a Hyatt property. I’m keeping this particular review short because I want to focus on Orrione at the front desk. I realized on my last full day that I lost my car/home keys. I went to the front desk and was instructed to complete form on “ileftmystuff.com”. It sends a message to housekeeping for them to notify the guest if and when the item is found. They didn’t find my keys. I was so disheartened but continued on with my trip. I came back from my day out, after looking for my keys at 2 more businesses, I spoke to Orrione at the front desk and she described them perfectly! I was elated! She said “those are mom keys, I knew you would be looking for them”. She had my keys tucked away in a safe after a guest gave them to her. She gave me a hug and calmed me down and was so pleasant. Thank you Orrione for your empathy and taking care of my items as if they were yours, by locking them away. You were right, they are definitely mom keys. LOL!

Stay as beautiful as the Hotel
Very pretty and trendy decor. The staff was extremely friendly. It was walkable to the convention center and good restaurants in a safe well-lit area. I like that it was quiet. There is a lounge on the first floor, although it didn’t make any noise for my room. I got it for the beautiful bathtub and it did not disappoint! Very good for a road trip a lot of work related amenities.
