Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans

I stayed here for a couple of nights using some saved up rewards points. We arrived very early in the morning due to a storm asked if an early check in was possible, they told me they could do 30 minutes early. Fair enough. I was told through Hyatt corporate I could still receive my destination fee rewards even though they are waived with a points stay. I was told no angrily for simply asking. The price doesn’t appear to be that bad but they nickel and dime you for everything after you book. $50 valet a day. $15 destination fee per guest per day. The valet is expensive so you’d think it would be nice? No they take eternity to get your car and will not use the ability to request your car before you go down stairs. When you tell them you’d like your car, they’ll ask you where you’re going and want you to walk to somewhere closer that similar. If I want my car I should be able to have it if I’m paying you $50 a day to park. I am not a very picky person. The room was okay, carpet was kind of old. Tub had some discoloration on it. No one heard a peep from me about it. I just want people to know this place is overpriced for what it is. I maybe wouldn’t feel that way if the benefits you pay for, or are promised but not given, were actually helpful.

The staff were quite helpful, especially ERIC, who hailed us taxis, arranged for our loose wheel on my Walker/Rollater to be repaired. (Thank God for the help!) AND various other assistance. Bar staff in lobby were also quite professional & helpful. Lobby was Clean & Service good. Our room did have a little musty odor, but other than that, was good.

From the moment we pulled up to the Hyatt French Quarter, Josh greeted us with the biggest smile and an even BIGGER personality! He was absolutely AMAZING! Extremely prompt, attentive to my dad, and quick to help us arrange transportation throughout our stay for my sister’s wedding. His hospitality was truly top-tier! We even had a little football trash talk! LET’S GO RAVENS! THANK YOU, JOSH, for making our stay even more memorable! Keep shining! Your Favorite Cousin!

Visited for the Falcons game, MNF Room was clean but dated. Great location for restaurants, bars, casino, and the dome. Customer service was AWESOME. Shout out to Josh who was fun, helpful, and a joy to see daily!

Josh our valet was very helpful and nice he even participated in some friendly saints vs falcons banter. The hotel was beautiful and accommodating to our needs. The location was perfect and coffee was great!
