Hyatt Centric French Quarter New Orleans

I stayed at Hyatt Centric French Quarter for 5 days, 4 nights while I was in town for a work conference. One of my friends attended with me, and we spent the evenings enjoying the city after conference meetings were over. The day my friend and I were checking out, it started pouring rain while we were out in the Quarter walking around. By the time we got back to the hotel, we were drenched. (I literally rang out the water from my hair outside the door.) We had checked out earlier in the day and left our luggage since our flight wasn't until 6 pm that evening. We had decided to take our luggage into the lobby bathroom to get some dry clothes before taking an Uber to the airport. Craig, the GM, saw us come in. He initially asked if we wanted towels, which we were very grateful for, but then when he saw exactly how wet we were, he took us to a vacant room and allowed us to use it to change and repack. He also brought us plastic bags to put our wet things in so we could protect the rest of our belongings in our suitcases from getting wet. I was so blown away by the thoughtfulness and the time he took to assist us. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had doors opening up into the courtyard, which was amazing. I also slept better on that mattress than I do on my own, and there were plenty of outlets to plug in my (seemingly) millions of devices. Every time we went in or out of the front doors to the hotel, the employees running valet in the front opened doors for us - in some cases, running to beat us to the door. Everyone had a smile on their face and was so welcoming. Our first night there I asked one of the gentlemen at the front desk where a particular restaurant was located. He looked it up and gave me detailed directions so we could easily walk to it. THANK YOU for treating us so well. If I ever make it back to New Orleans, I will 100% be staying here, even though the rates are higher than many other hotels. I also plan on telling everyone I know about what a great experience we had, and posting this review in multiple places.

In the heart of the French Quarters of New Orleans, this hotel has class. From the welcoming valet, and the front desk personnel who immaculately dressed, to the comfort of the room, everything far exceeded our expectations.

Excellent stay for Jazzfest, super convenient to many great restaurants at end of the day, with a great bar and bartenders to close out the night. Ken is a truly skilled bartender, and Daniel is very attentive and helpful. From the start, check-in, with Ellie, made it smooth and easy. Kristi in valet was super to work with, even coming by on her day off during Jazzfest, and the bellmen, Eric and Jabari were so attentive and personable, a true pleasure. On one night, the noise from performers on Bourbon St. was loud, but we knew that when we requested a room on Bourbon. A little noise was worth it for us. Overall, a truly great stay.

This is a great location, very walkable throughout the French Quarter, adjacent to Bourbon St, but not on Bourbon St, excellent lobby with food & drinks

Loved the hotel. It was in the perfect location for exploring the French Quarter and New Orleans. It was convenient for us to walk to the shuttle, take a taxi or uber to the Jazz Fest. The room was fantastic. Very large and we had a balcony.
