The rooms are fine, the Banksy pieces are really cool, and the general quirky vibe is much appreciated - but it is the people at the LOA bar, not the physical amenities, that leave the best lasting memories. In a world of corporate, cookie-cutter, micro-managed options, IH stands apart because of them. Their mixology skills are world-class, and their personalities, empathy, wit, and personalized service truly stand out. When picking a hotel, I’ll happily walk a little extra distance to the convention center in the winter if it means I can just take the elevator down to interact with Abigail, Aline and the rest of the LOA team. They are the heart of the house, IMO.

Our Thanksgiving stay was amazing thanks to Chris at the front desk. That man is a gem who went above and beyond to set up taxi service for us, recommend outings, and even walked out to show us the way to the streetcar. We have been thinking of leaving Canal Street during our holidays in NOLA, but changed our minds because of his willingness to go above and beyond. Thanks for everything!

No hot water, no light in bathroom, room decor felt like prison cell with concrete floors, no coffee in room, noise in hallway and outside- unable to sleep

I would definitely return! The location was perfect. Easy walk to everything we wanted to do! The room was large and so was the bathroom. The receptionist was so friendly. And the art installation in the lobby was a cool bonus!
