Great location with easy access to and yet removed from the noise. It's a great hotel, but in need of better management. We love visiting NOLA and will definitely return. We stayed at International House Hotel 3 years ago, but we most probably won't be staying at this hotel again. After questioning the amenities fee that was charged upon arrival, I discovered I paid $360 more in advance than what it would have cost for the same accommodations upon arrival. Front desk manager(Roman) promised to bring it up with the owner but never did, claiming he's impossible to reach. It makes me wonder who's in charge. Attached photos show price discrepancy.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very negative experience. After a long redeye flight from Los Angeles, we arrived around 6:40 AM local time, exhausted, and asked if our room was available for early check-in. The front desk said yes but wanted to charge an additional $50. We explained that it was still 4:40 AM California time and we really needed a nap. We asked if they could waive the fee, explaining our situation and noting we were already paying a $15 amenity fee for services we wouldn’t use. Unfortunately, the staff showed no empathy and refused to accommodate us. The room was empty and ready, yet they were more focused on squeezing out the extra $50 than offering basic hospitality, which is what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The lack of understanding, especially for guests who’ve traveled such a long distance, was incredibly disappointing. They were obviously more focused on profit than providing care or a positive experience to their guests. For those of you who are reading this review, be aware of the $15 per night amenity fee you'll be charged upon check-in.

This is a beautiful hotel - stylish and great music playing in the front lobby. The staff made it a pleasure to stay here, especially Chris. He made us feel welcome and gave us great recommendations for the area. The room was very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Christopher at the front desk was absolutely divine. He was so charming, knowledgeable & helpful. We could tell he enjoys his position. Hope to see him again later in the year when we return. Our room was stunning beautifully decorated & the bed so so so comfortable. Some days we did not leave our room until after 2pm. We will definitely be return guest and will recommend International House Hotel to friends. Our choice hotel going forward when we visit NOLA. Exceptional service & experience

The hotel was very clean and comfortable we were just a couple minutes away from the French quarter but far enough to be away from the craziness. The staff could not have been nicer, friendlier, knowledgeable, helpful or kinder. We had a wonderful visit and will definitely stay there again. Hopefully soon.
