This hotel was close to the heart of NOLA yet a few blocks away to be quiet at night. We had a very comfortable stay and the staff was so helpful and pleasant. Loved the art around the hotel and the bar was unique with delicious cocktails. We would definitely recommend.

Upon arrival I checked into what I thought was the building I was staying in only to be informed I (solo female traveller) would be required to wheel my luggage ("down the street and left at the corner then proceed for a block and it's on your left") to a totally different and *completely unattended* boredline vacant building. Get to my room and find an old dead crawdad on the floor by the bed. Bathtub is gorgeous but is painfully uncomfortable and leaks all across the stone floor. Toilet ran all night forcing me to close the door to the bathroom (which was directly next to the bed). Horrible experience and at first light I checked out.

Chris at the front desk sold us a tourist service he knew would not work with our schedule. He gave us incorrect information, and as a result, we lost $118 and valuable time. What should have been a smooth stay became stressful and disappointing. When I raised this with the Manager on duty, she called it a “mistake” even though we had spent nearly 30 minutes explaining our situation in detail. She promised a refund, gave me her card, and told me to email her. I’ve now followed up twice with no reply in five days. The hotel is fine for location and price, but the front desk upsells third-party services without accountability. That should not be part of a guest’s experience. The only person who showed genuine concern was the night shift receptionist, who witnessed the situation but couldn’t intervene. This was one of the most disappointing check-in experiences I’ve had, and management still has not resolved it.

My sister and I had the best experience staying at this unique & beautiful hotel. Everyone from the hotel front desk employees and housekeeping were very, very helpful. They helped with activity suggestions, restaurant recs and providing us with additional items for our rooms. Beds were super comfy and rooms were very clean. The hotel bar was nice with unique cocktails that were tasty. There is also a good breakfast restaurant a stones throw away. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Cute boutique hotel with a contemporary look but unique style. Quiet and charming with great walking distance to everything. Friendly staff with great service. My third visit staying at International House
