Our Go-To NOLA Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Close to everything, but far away from the madness of the French Quarter. Great staff and the on-site restaurant is worth a trip of it's own. It's our go-to hotel in NOLA and will continue to be. Shout out to Wesley at the front desk who helped us tremendously with a booking issue our travel agent made...he didn't blink and fixed it immediately on one of the busiest weekends of the year.

A Virgin Hotel that does not disappoint

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Greet location to embrace everything NOLA has to offer with little bit of peace and quiet when you need a rest from the night before . Quirky/fun lobby and lounge area to grab a drink with friends before dinner. Greet pool deck and rooftop lounge for breakfast or a late night drink, although the pool is more of a splash pool than an actual pool. The rooms are laid out well with some Branson quirkiness that you would expect. The staff is welcoming and friendly from the minute you enter to the minute you leave.

Great stay!

Great experience. Although we stayed in the basic king room, the design is a plus, but it is a bit small. We may decide to upgrade to the next size up next time. The staff throughout the hotel were very welcoming of us and our bulldog Pablo!

Virgin Hotel New Orleans Still Finding the Rhythm

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

**It’s YE Gurl @ Virgin Hotel New Orleans** 🎺✨ Let’s talk about consistency — because when a brand nails it, you *notice*. I’ve been a fan of Virgin Hotels since their boozy tea and DJ nights in Chicago, and let’s not forget the Vegas suite life moment (we were *thriving*). So when it came time for a Nawlins staycation from November 7–9, this was an easy “add to cart.” From the jump, it was giving: modern comfort, Southern charm, and that signature Virgin welcome — free drink coupon, snack + water gift, and staff so warm I could feel the hometown vibe (lived in New Orleans for nearly 10 years, so I know the real thing). Perfect base for all the homecoming activities and events that weekend. Everything was smooth sailing… until it wasn’t. The hiccup? A one-minute miss on the extended happy hour drink. 🕕 I literally stepped off the elevator at 5:58, made a beeline to the bar, and was ignored until a kind barback finally asked if I needed help. By the time the bartender looked up, it was 6:01. “Sorry, happy hour’s over.” *Cue record scratch.* Now, as someone who’s been in the service industry — Essence Fest, House of Blues, the real-deal pre-Katrina and pre-COVID hospitality era — that kind of energy? Not it. Nawlins runs on rhythm, kindness, and connection. You can’t just *adopt* the location, you have to *adapt* to the culture. And let’s be clear, this wasn’t just any weekend. The city was hosting Billie Eilish, a medical convention, a WWII event, *and* the centennial for the only private Catholic HBCU producing Black medical professionals. The room was filled with folks who *are* the moment — and yet the hospitality missed it completely. Mister Bartender — a word. 💬 You represent more than a bar; you represent a city that lives off joy, service, and soul. Virgin Hotels knows how to deliver that magic — it’s part of their DNA. But Nawlins magic requires heart. Step up, sync in, and serve it with a smile next time. Because trust — the culture here *will* correct you if you don’t. 😉💅🏽
