With its very casual luxury, 11 Howard is destined to become a classic. This innovative hotel, where Danish minimalism meets New York realism, answers the call for a relaxed, smartly curated place to stay in SoHo. 11 Howard’s guiding principle is conscious hospitality. What does conscious hospitality mean? It means that we approach each aspect of the hotel—from design to location to amenities to our ultramodern brand of service—with awareness, purpose, and thoughtful consideration. 11 Howard is a partner with Global Poverty Project whose mission is a world without extreme poverty by 2030. By Booking your stay directly with us, a portion of your room rate will be donated to GPP to help fight extreme poverty and inequality around the world.

This so-called 5-star hotel is a complete scam. Starting with the lobby — it’s dirty and looks completely neglected. The rooms are tiny, the beds are uncomfortable, and so are the pillows. Cleanliness is basically nonexistent; some things are clearly not properly cleaned. The walls are paper thin — you can hear everything from everyone. The hallways are filthy, and the carpet looks like it’s been there for 40 years. The location is definitely not great either — it’s on the outskirts of SoHo, right on Canal Street, surrounded by fake bag vendors in a terrible neighborhood. And to top it all off, we couldn’t sleep a single night because there’s a rooftop nightclub blasting music until 4 a.m. I would never recommend this hotel. A total scam and disappointment — disgusting in every possible way.

For being a 5-star hotel the service at the reception was severely lacking. There was only 1 man, I wish I got his name who was always wearing a suit, who had a sense of helpfulness and professionalism - the rest of the staff were rude and unable to help with the most basic of services and requests. I also want to say that when our large group entered the hotel to check-in with many luggage’s, there was no one to help us with them or to even open the door, while 3 people sat at the reception desk and didn’t even bother to get up to assist. The food service on the 2nd floor is also very, very slow and not convenient for those who have to get out the door quickly - I have to say the 1 server on the floor was nice and it’s clearly not his fault as there is just an issue of understaffing. All in all, I couldn’t believe for a 3 night stay the cost was $2,600 and the service was this terrible and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Our group usually stays at the SoHo Grand that is a 4 star hotel and while not as “chic” in look and feel as the 11 Howard is a much, much better experience overall in regard to the rooms and the staff.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! I was upgraded without even asking to a beautiful rooftop room with a huge balcony that wrapped around the entire room, offering spacious comfort and incredible views. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful, and as a Titanium member I really appreciated how they seemed to anticipate my needs without me having to ask. The location was absolutely prime—walking distance to everything including shopping, dining, Soho, Chinatown, and NoHo. The only downside was that while the room had a full kitchen, there were no wine glasses, cups, or utensils provided. Even basic plastic options would have been helpful. Overall, though, I loved my stay and will definitely be coming back!

We slept well here, it’s clean, the location is great and the staff is friendly. However it is NOT a 5 star hotel. It once was but someone, probably PE, must have bought the brand. It is a 3 star hotel, wrapped in a stylish exterior, that has been stripped to the bones and everything is extra. There are no onsite amenities. The things that are free at a Marriott Courtyard are an extra charge. *The gym is blocks away and is a no name. *There is no in room coffee. You have to pay $40 a day for it. *The TV’s are not smart TV’s so if you want to watch a movie you have to pay for it. *There are no restaurants or bars on site. I figured something was off because the price $350 which seemed reasonable was, in hindsight, too expensive. NOTE: the description on the Bonvoy app is out of date.

My wife and I stay at this hotel multiple times per year. This trip was for my wife's 50th birthday with 2 rooms for our family. This is hands-down our favorite hotel in New York, and one of our very few favorites in the world, and that is in comparison to some of the truly great hotels of the world. The building and rooms provide a truly authentic Soho experience. You feel completely integrated into this unique neighborhood. The rooms are very well designed and constructed. High ceilings, large, arched windows. While space is always limited in NYC, these rooms provide a surprising amount of room, and are very comfortable. I want to particularly compliment the staff. They are exceptionally friendly, accommodating, and helpful. A real professional experience. I already have multiple return trips on the books, with more to come!
