Great base to see the city.

What a great stay. Brilliant base to see the city and Donovan on the front desk makes you feel like a friend from the off. Will definitely stay here when I come back to NYC in December.

Amazing

We had the room booked as part of a cruise package,so our hopes weren’t high…boy were we wrong From the start fantastic reception staff who went the extra mile and were genuinely happy to see us they got us to our rooms with the minimum of fuss Now the room was excellent huge bathroom and a very comfortable bed The room has a safe (in a drawer) and an iron…it’s a steamer type…so when I asked at reception for a more traditional one I was met with “ I got you “ and like magic it appears The hotel is right next to broadway so no long walks required Next time we visit New York this hotel is a must

Mixed bag of some positives but more not so

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The hotel is really a mixed bag with some real positives and not so positive Positives are proximity to Time Square and great places to eat, however, the location of the hotel is not a nice part of the street, we had a huge skip and rubbish bags outside the entrance. With a building site next door Other positives we received welcome complimentary cocktails which were actually great choice. You had$25 to use towards one breakfast and coupon to use at Farm to Table restaurant which we didn’t use. Bar and bellboy were very helpful, rest of the staff not so. It was by husband’s milestone birthday when we mentioned they just said happy birthday no efforts as to what they could help with to make it special The not so positives very small lobby, 3 lifts take ages to operate, reception staff not so helpful. Rooms are very small, and beds are small doubles thats English size our room had a smell and AC was so loud. They did offer to move us to another floor but as we were there for 3 nights we stayed put. Our room had view of another apartment or hotel and we seemed very close to their windows To access the roof bar which actually is really good with great views you have to go to ground floor lobby, register and than they let you back in lift to go up again, we were on 30th floor already so a nuisance for us. On departure the gentleman didn’t even ask how stay was just quickly checked us out, however, we were grateful to the bellboy who stored our suitcases and when we returned to go to airport arranged our transport. Photos are misleading, was surprised to read hotel not that old
