Within the majestic walls of one of New York's most exceptional landmarks, a new paradigm for Lower Manhattan is emerging. An architectural gem, hailed for its iconic nine-story atrium and pyramidal skylight, The Beekman unites some of the world's greatest talent, including the sophisticated design of Martin Brudnizki and the culinary cachet of restauranteurs Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally. Located in the epicenter of Lower Manhattan's thriving New Downtown, and nestled between both the East and Hudson Rivers, The Beekman is surrounded by some of Manhattan's most cherished attractions, including the Brooklyn Bridge and One World Trade. The Beekman is a masterpiece rediscovered.

Main issue is noise levels. There are two sources of incredibly disruptive noise: through the front door you’ll hear the noise from the very active restaurant and bar - and it’s LOUD. And through the windows, you’ll be interrupted multiple times at night by garbage trucks collecting mountains of trash on Nassau street. It must be that Nassau street is where the garbage of the hotel itself and perhaps Pace University (next door to hotel) is disposed - it’s frequent, very noisy and incredibly disruptive (it takes over an hour for the garbage to be collected and the trucks use full engine force to compost the garbage and condense it). Separately the rooms are very dark as well - as the building is surrounded by very tight streets and very high building just across. Lastly, because of the tight street Uber drivers cancel rides right and left and you’re left stranded. Need to walk a block or two away to catch taxis or order Ubers. It’s a shame because the restaurant is nice and the rooms themselves are ok. But I will never make this mistake again. Unless this hotel invests in double glazed insulated windows and accustom doors - it’s not salvageable. And even if so, the darkness and lack of mobility make it just too hard. There are many other better options downtown and around.

I went here for my 10 year anniversary with my fiancé. We live up in Westchester and often come down to the city for a night or two and this was by far the best hotel. I have stayed in in Manhattan when making the reservation, we let them know that it was our anniversary and they had a bottle of wine in our hotel room for us It was such a fun weekend and the hotel was extremely convenient. We came in on a Friday afternoon and we ate at the French restaurant and spent the rest of the evening at the lounge and club. There’s so much to do in that area like City Hall and walking across the Brooklyn Bridge or going to Soho and shopping The hotel was clean and beautiful. This is definitely my new favorite hotel and I’ll be looking to stay here more often.

The Beekman is such a beautiful hotel. The photos online don’t really do it justice. I can’t recommend the hotel and its wonderful staff enough. Would highly recommend staying here if ever you have the opportunity. I stayed here with my family including my toddler and it was a perfect stay.

I stayed at this property for one night in April 2025 with my mom and teen. * There were some people like Mark (valet services) and Ronan (bell services) who stood out for their excellence and genuine warmth and hospitality. Ronan especially provided outstanding, personalized, professional, welcoming and attentive customer service. * The property was in a convenient location for our goals for this visit (though Google maps routed us to the Beekman St entrance and I needed the Nassau St entrance as we were checking in and hoped to unload our luggage and utilize valet parking). Other elements for this luxury urban property left me lukewarm, such as the fact that I had to point out at check in and again at check out that I had used a guest of honor pass to book one of our rooms (which affected our decisions about breakfast, valet parking, and in-room complimentary amenities). The woman traveling solo who checked in beside me was given better service as she had booked through the Fine Hotels + Resorts portal (as in Amex Travel or elsewhere) and her front desk attendant seemed a bit more dialed in. The room was comfortable, well-appointed, and clean. Our room had a sliding barn door for the bathroom with some sound mitigation. The bathroom was enclosed with a floor to ceiling wall however there are clerestory windows near the ceiling which allows light back into the sleeping area (if that matters to anyone). Dining in the hotel at the first level Temple Court was decent. The food and beverages were delicious. We enjoyed the egg white and goat cheese entree, smoked salmon on toast, the French toast, and the veggie breakfast accompanied by coffee and juice. The service I experienced was not top tier as my guest had ordered a coffee and the table beside us was served before my guest (and in both cases, it did not feel like the coffee was served in a timely manner- probably waited 15 minutes with an average restaurant census and plenty of staff). The attentiveness of the person who took our orders was lacking and I could clearly see them huddled and talking around the staff area. Twice I needed to ask them to come over- to place a food order and then again regarding the coffee for my guest. There also seemed to be some confusion about table numbers as food coming from the kitchen was getting offered to multiple tables before finding the correct one, so perhaps that is what also happened to my guest's coffee. Dessert and drinks the night of arrival and check-in in the Temple Court were tasty and the service was better than at breakfast. We had the fresh fruit sorbets, panna cotta and cheese selection. Also, just a note, the hotel website shows the rooftop terrace. This space is only accessible by the guests staying in the penthouse suites.

We had the best experience at The Beekman - Hotel is beautiful. The restaurant is always with people giving it a great vibe and ambiance. We traveled with kids- 13 and 11 and they loved it too. Everything from food to the Decor was amazing. Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday - they sent a complementary bottle of champagne to our room. Location is great with all subway lines just a short walk away.

We has a most enjoyable stay at this elegant but fun hotel. Our room was comfortable, the included breakfasts were excellent and the $100 room credit went towards a good meal one evening in the Temple and Court Bar. The staff generally were polite, helpful, friendly and very professional. It all added up to a very good short vacation.
