Located in the heart of Manhattan, The Chatwal, New York bridges classic and contemporary like no other. Nestled between Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and the Theater District, the landmark hotel, originally built in 1905 by Stanford White, has been beautifully restored and renewed by master architect Thierry Despont, re-launched in 2010 with 76 rooms and suites, several of which feature spacious terraces. Carefully selected amenities, professional butler service and bespoke service make it an ideal choice for both leisure and business travelers. The hotel is home to the MYND Spa, and the famous Lambs Club Restaurant.

An absolutely exceptional hotel in NYC - the only hotel I will stay at when traveling for work in NYC. The hotel is beautiful and the staff is exceptionally helpful!

Wonderful hotel in a very convenient location! Easy check in and out. Coffee maker in room. Quiet and clean. Nice large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning worked well. Can’t wait to go back.

The Chatwal is a luxury boutique hotel that emphasizes Art Deco style. Its location in the Theater District is ideal for those visiting for Broadway performances and steps from Times Square. The rooms are elegantly appointed with modern amenities. We had high expectations for our experience because of the reviews and the level of luxury touted by the hotel. The staff at the front desk was ok, but it didn’t feel like we were stepping in a luxury boutique hotel. As a matter of fact, we had to challenge the bill afterwards to reflect the pricing and on-site amenities that we were supposed to get—even after those were acknowledged at check-in. When there are many hotels in New York City, we probably won’t put The Chatwal at the top of our list whenever we’ll be back to town.

Not a great stay here. I thought The Chatwal would be more of a historic stay or have greater amenities. It was all so-so. Hard to find staff during the stay, the breakfast was super slow, and the hotel is kind of basic. I've had much better Hyatt stays at "lower" rated hotels like the Hyatt Regency at Times Square. I would not return to The Chatwal.

Lovely experience from check in, the stay and check out. I loved the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. Beautiful fresh flowers, nicely designed rooms with thoughtful and fun touches. Comfortable stay, especially the rain shower. Close proximity to theater a big plus.
