Exquisitely and eclectically designed, The Fifth Avenue Hotel offers a realm of imagination to delight the senses in the elegant NoMad neighborhood of Midtown Manhattan.
A historic New York Gilded Age landmark reimagined as a luxury destination, The Fifth offers thoughtful service with the utmost comfort and care; and exceptional cuisine overseen by award-winning Chef Andrew Carmellini.
The Fifth Avenue Hotel is built on the former estate of Mrs. Charlotte Goodridge, a legendary Gilded Age hostess whose home was the epicenter of culture and discourse in 19th-century New York City. The mansion then housed a fine art gallery before being reimagined by legendary architectural firm McKim, Mead & White as the stately Second National Bank.
Today, following a 10-year restoration by Flâneur Hospitality, the original brick and limestone Renaissance-style palazzo is complemented by a shimmering 24-story modern glass tower. The two impressive edifices embody the marriage of classic, sumptuous luxury and sophisticated innovation that help to create an unsurpassed guest experience at The Fifth.

For the past 3 years I save money for a year and then spend two to four nights in a high end NYC hotel (I know this probably has real rich people clutching their real pearls lol). I stayed in the langham, park hotel, and now 5th avenue. They’re all genuinely great in their own way. I had a bigger room at the langham that had a balcony for the same price and the amenities are top notch. I think it’s still my favorite in many ways. But the 5th ave hotel is in the running for best in that the service was the best of all of the places. The coordination between eveyone was fantastic and it really felt like you mattered to them. Breakfast at the restaurant was chefs kiss and again service there was amazing theu made sure my breakfast pastries made it to my room. They were a bit slow to answer thr texts but calling always got a quick response. Felix was amazing like 100/10 service. When there was one hiccup earlier in the day I was a but grumpy but he made up for it immensely. Only service downside was when he wasn’t there I didn’t feel as much love and the turn down service didnt offer to come back when they came before I was ready. Some of the amenities are actually in the closet on a shelf which was odd for a suite and there was not a separate room just a partition between spaces which is more common these days. Aside from coordination for service were a few small things that are one of a kind. 1. The lobby is tiny but the portrait “bar” lounge area is adorable. It seems to be a happening spot and you get exclusive access early in the day. Great vibes there. 2. The art is TOP NOTCH. I LOVED walking through the hotel. It was like a museum. And the team can tell you about every piece. Once I start revisiting hotels this one will certainly remain on the list.

If you're looking for a true boutique hotel experience this is the place to be. Beautifully designed hotel, thoughtful staff and service, and amazing restaurants. Good value for a top notch location too!

This is a truly personalized boutique hotel, unlike the big chains. The staff to guest ratio, but more importantly, the Services are second to none. The rooms have character and nothing in the way of amenities is lacking.

As a New Yorker, I’ve stayed in my fair share of classic hotels, but my stay at the Fifth Avenue Hotel was truly something special. A friend referred me, and I’m so glad they did. This wasn’t a typical hotel stay for me. During WNBA Draft week, I hosted fittings there with four of the top 10 WNBA draftees, and the hotel became both my workspace and my retreat. The space was comfortable, luxurious, peaceful, and incredibly functional. Normally fittings are hosted elsewhere, but I was able to fully transform my suite into a beautiful fitting environment with ample space for racks, styling, staff, and clients, while still feeling elevated and intimate. The staff was beyond accommodating throughout the entire experience. Between long fitting days running nonstop like clockwork, having great coffee nearby for my team each morning and a beautiful place to decompress afterward made all the difference. I also loved ending the night downstairs at The Portrait Bar for light bites and a reset before the next day of WNBA Draft activities. Most importantly, my clients felt taken care of. The hotel created a luxury experience that made everyone walking through the door feel special. All in all, an amazing stay and an amazing property. The Fifth Avenue Hotel absolutely became my retreat away from home, and I’ll definitely be back.
