A Lower Manhattan original, Gild Hall is a place of character and comfort that runs deep, just off the bustle of Wall Street, One World Trade and the Seaport District. Our boutique hotel endures as a neighborhood cornerstone and showcase for the design aesthetic of Jim Walrod and the photography of Slim Aarons, two American originals themselves. Relax in our library lounge and enjoy rustic Tuscan fare at Felice Ristorante, a cozy local haunt. Explore the cobblestone-lined downtown streets, then indulge in the bespoke comfort of our guest rooms where rich wood, leather furnishings and brass accents anchor the soothing, neutral palette. Jim Walrod-designed tufted leather headboards, custom SFERRA linens and locally crafted bath amenities add a level of understated, appreciated luxury. At Gild Hall, luxury and hospitality welcome you on an intimate, honest scale.

The family chose the Gild Hall for its location and the pictures of the rooms. It was a great choice. The facility was well maintained; the rooms spacious and well appointed. The true discriminator at this hotel was the staff. Courteous, informative, and friendly, the Gild Hall team ensured our stay was enjoyable and relaxed. Special call outs for Rob, Sebastian, and Simon with whom entertaining conversations were had and who provided information about local events. The attached but separate restaurant serves an adequate breakfast with enough variety to please the 5 adults in our party. We did not eat other meals there but the bar was well stocked and the bartender was knowledgeable. Overall, a great experience and another reason why the family prefers Hyatt and the Thompson collection. We shall stay at the Gild Hall when we return to NYC.

I’ve stayed at Gild Hall several times now, and every visit reminds me why I return. I have mostly stayed here for work but have also visited with my family and every visit has been extremely positive. As someone who is particular about cleanliness, I can say my rooms have always been spotless and the hotel itself is very well maintained. The food is consistently delicious, making dining in a real treat. And while the location puts you close to everything, the moment you step inside it feels like its own little world. What really sets Gild Hall apart is the staff. The team always goes out of their way to make me feel valued as a guest. They are warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. The front desk team is consistently friendly and helpful, often checking in to make sure your stay is going smoothly. A special thank you to Elizabeth who is always so accommodating and brings such a welcoming energy to my visits.

Location close to WTC, Wall Street, South Seaport. Helpful staff checked me in early and granted upgrade request. Hotel/room decorations are good. Very tall ceilings. Blend of old elegance with functionality like lighting and plenty of charging outlets. The only thing not working is one of the two elevators.

This is the fourth time we've stayed at the property and absolutely love it. It's got a great boutique vibe, the lobby is first rate in coziness, and proximity to a great bar and a fantastic restaurant. Will definitely be back!

We stayed at Gild Hall for 4 nights in September with my parents, and all four of us had a wonderful experience. -Location: I wasn’t sure at first about the downtown Manhattan location, but this turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The area was convenient, quieter than expected, and worked out really well for us. -Room: The hotel has a unique, classic charm that feels different from the typical chain hotels. The room was not large, but perfectly comfortable by Manhattan standards. Dark wood furniture, a cozy atmosphere, and a very comfortable bed gave it a warm and stylish character. The lighting could be dim and cozy (perfect for us), but there was also a brighter option when needed (which my parents preferred). -Service & Amenities: Service was warm and welcoming from the start. We were even offered a glass of Prosecco at check-in. Each morning, we enjoyed coffee in the lobby, and two bottles of water were delivered daily to our room. Toiletries were Molton Brown, which added a nice touch. Daily housekeeping was reliable, and everything felt thoughtfully taken care of. I really appreciated how Gild Hall combines the consistency of a trusted brand with the charm of a boutique-style hotel. The hospitality was a pleasant surprise for New York City and made our stay especially memorable.
