About the Hotel

In Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood, a historic and revered structure has been transformed into what is now The High Line Hotel. The majestic cathedrals and manicured grounds of this coveted place make the hotel decidedly unique, and create a space that is both serene and stylish at once, all within the bustle of one of the world's biggest cities. From its Parisian-style courtyard entrance and beautiful gardens, to the centuries-old brick façades of the buildings, The High Line Hotel is remarkable in every way. Despite its ability to echo an era of years past, the hotel is thoroughly modern in its amenities and design, from the spacious guest rooms that are expertly furnished with antique pieces and art, to the Intelligentsia coffee bar and counter-less check-in via tablets. Rooms are designed with expertise and care, each outfitted with complimentary wireless Internet access, high definition television, plush bathrobes, and luxury bedding. Evoke the elegance of past time and place, all the while in a cutting-edge urban center, at The High Line Hotel.

Reviews for The High Line Hotel

NO ROOM SERVICE, Front Desk Apathy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 11 hours ago

We live in a time when even upper-middle-class, extremely successful Americans find themselves at a four-star hotel that DOESN'T HAVE ROOM SERVICE. Honestly, I would have paid an extra 100 bucks per night at the Hotel Chelsea just for a more pleasant experience. Hotels are really suffering in New York right now b/c of the lack of tourists. To give them a break: the apathy and depression may be related to the hotel cutting corners everywhere to save money for the CEO's salary; God forbid they should be affected by this downturn. We travela ll over the world and I find Americans bitter and depressed at the moment.

Needs updates

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This hotel does not have central air and is in significant need of updating. The mattresses are extremely soft and pillows were not comfortable. We will stay elsewhere next time.

Great experience

Excellent location. Bed was really comfortable and the perks for the gym day-pass made a difference for me.

Good experience if you can get it at the right price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Lovely building, location superb, and spacious rooms. Very nice bones to the hotel that is difficult to find in NYC. Service is barebones - efficient but very minimal. Lack of comfortable public spaces for meetings or work, and no free coffee (a black coffee downstairs will run you ~$7) is a real mark against the overall feeling of being welcome and at home vs "a place to crash for the night. If you can find this hotel in the $300s or possibly low $400s/night then it represents good value and you'll really enjoy your stay in a lovely building and very nice room. Much more than that and I say you risk feeling a bit ripped off.

Very nice accommodation

Spacious rooms, if you select king. good rates for long stay. Excellent location close to Chelsea markets, Chelsea Pier, Whitney Museum, good eateries. Can get noisy if they have road works, but this is beyond the control of both guest and hotel. Highly recommended
