This hotel was perfectly located in the middle of everything. We were able to easily walk here from the train station, walk to most things we wanted to see - Bryant Park, Times Square, Soho, etc. We did use the subway a few times which was also really easy to get around with. The hotel was clean and the staff was amazing. The hotel had a lot of character and is a NYC designated Landmark. Really loved this hotel.

Mediocre quality hotel with a good location in NYC Flatiron district. Room quality was in need of renovation with chipped/broken drawers in room and bathroom. lights in bathroom, flickered and bathroom towels were in need of upgrade. Service of hotel staff was attentive and pleasant and we enjoyed the complementary lobby coffee in the morning.

Currently on the middle of a stay here at the Hotel Seville. The room is extremely cramped, so I’m confused about the other reviews here. I guess room sizes vary significantly here, but the 1 queen bed in my assigned room is literally right next to the entry door on one side, a dusty window on another and the bathroom door on the third side. This is tiny even by NYC standards. I'm here on a work trip, and there is no chair or desk in the room, which makes it very difficult to get any work done. The room description was very misleading, with the description indicating a "work/dining niche" and the room photo indicating the same. Also, the room smelled misty upon arrival so I opened the window and a gust of dust promptly blew in the room. Disappointing that I booked 3 nights here.

My room was not ready until after 4pm and staff at the front desk were not apologetic and didn’t seem to care! the overall condition of the hotel was below a Hyatt operated hotel; it needs serious renovations and upgrades for the price it’s charging customers for. I stayed at a hyatt closer to time square for a lower price and better experience. Would not stay here nor recommend it to anyone.

The hotel looks good at first. The lobby and bars are stylish, and the restaurant is busy and good. The location is solid. But the actual stay didn’t match the look. We had a big suite with two bathrooms for three people. The space was great, but the room felt worn out and not well taken care of. There was a musty smell. One sink didn’t drain. One shower head was old and barely worked, and the other had weak pressure. The body wash was empty, and a table was water-damaged. Robes were provided but no slippers. There was also no coffee maker, which feels like a basic miss for a supposedly nice hotel. On top of that, the TV didn’t work. Service was just as rough. The staff didn’t seem interested and didn’t follow up on requests. As Explorist, we were told there were no bottled waters, just a carafe that could be sent up—but they never arrived. We also had a late checkout, but our key cards were still deactivated early, locking us out of the room after breakfast. After they fixed it, housekeeping still showed up before 2 PM. The hotel looks the part but doesn’t run like it. Big rooms and nice restaurants can’t make up for poor service and maintenance.
