Stayed for 6 nights in December, fantastic base for exploring NYC. We had a suite and the room was big, slightly dated but full of character. Comfy bed and good shower. We liked the bar area, overlooking Empire State building and the fruit, teas and coffees in the morning were a nice touch. The little gym on floor 3 was good and he really quiet. We did have to ask for extra bedding for the sofa bed twice, and the sofa bed was not very comfortable but other than that we thought this was a great hotel

Tv was broken in the room, was moved to second room where another TV mount literally fell from the wall during our stay, was told by engineer the TV was only recently mounted and was not mounted to a stud but was mistakenly mounted to drywall. Dont understand why the quality of the rooms were so poor with the price they are charging...

Average hotel for NYC. I am a travel agent so very familiar with NYC hotels. Good points: Clean, comfortable room and bedding, with mini bar. Check in was great, friendly staff allowed us early check in. Was pleasantly surprised to receive a fruit plate and bottled water as a birthday gift. They did replace a defective hairdryer when asked. Lacking: The room is a bit on the small side, although probably large for NYC. (King bed corner room 508). Took quite a while for the room to warm up from 67 degrees. Bathroom was cold with marble floor. No coffee service in the room, but they provided a kettle when asked (but no cup/mug/supplies). Coffee is available in the lobby in the morning. Although there is a mini bar in the room, shockingly, there are no glasses available to drink anything with (ask at the bar). There is no place to set your belongings (no dresser). Room is noisy and drafty from the street windows. Enjoyed the complimentary birthday fruit plate - but utensils provided for only one person. The hotel is lacking sufficient staff. The lobby bar often had no one in attendance, and there was no one at the front desk when we checked out. There are better choices available.

Dirty and worn out. Understaffed or unresponsive/indifferent staff. Bathrooms dirty, all requests require multiple asks and long waits.

The hotel is readily accessible and a quite pleasant stay. Although brief in my duration of stay, the service was quite good and friendly. Will explore this hotel in the future for a longer stay. The room was quite spacious compared to NY hotels.
