Amazing stay and service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

I stayed at the InterContinental New York Barclay in room 908 and had an absolutely lovely experience. The room was elegant, comfortable, and felt like a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The service was exceptional — everyone was so kind and attentive. A special thank-you to Tselmu Sampo for the warm hospitality and personal touch that truly made my stay memorable. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

NO HEAT IN ROOMS IN OCTOBER

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

No heat in room. Brought to attention of 3 employees. Only offered solution of giving an extra blanket. No attempt to rectify situation or offer anything other than day of departures offer of “points”. Per customer service and manager Dominic- that’s all they can offer and they wouldn’t comp the room. I’ve stayed here multiple times and have never been treated so poorly by three different employees that were made aware of the lack of heat for an October 11-13th stay. It wasn’t the middle of summer. It’s October in NYC. No excuse not to have heat working in every room. If you do plan on staying here you should plan on showering elsewhere as rooms are frigid. Never again.

Exceptional Service and a Wonderful Stay

I had a great stay at the InterContinental New York. Sophie Díaz was amazing, she took care of everything I needed with such kindness and professionalism. The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel!

Eastside away from the crowds, which is a great thing. Luxe and delightful.

Two rooms. One of them was the smallest room I've ever been assigned at the hotel and the other was our normal room, which we love (but gave to friends to enjoy). Got the club due to so many frequent stays this year and it was lovely. We didn't use it enough! The front desk was very kind and the bell staff was outstanding. This hotel is luxe without being over the top stuffy. It's on the east side, which I like - out of the way form times square yet wonderful eateries abound. I just continue to stay here and enjoy it more each time.

Enjoyed the stay.

Great location, short walk to fifth Ave. the building was full of history and worth exploring. I had fruit waiting in the room which was fresh and delicious. Room was comfortable. We booked through Chase EDIT hotel selection and it was convenient. We had 2 free breakfast and $100credit which we happily enjoyed. Some of the front desk staff could be more pleasant, the breakfast area could use an additional bus boy, doorman was there intermittently (if the hotel means to have a doorman). I still recommend the hotel.
