InterContinental New York Barclay

I had a great stay. My room was ready at noon as requested. The check in process was pleasant and smooth. I only wish my room was larger and had a better view. I had a Premier King on the 11th floor that faced offices.

We stayed for 6 nights in a room with club access. The rooms (we had two - see below!) were very pleasant, a decent size and finished and equipped to a high standard. Reception was quick and efficient, and the public areas of the hotel are grand in the old style. A few days in we had problems with the neighbours: a bunch of lads moved in to our floor and appeared to be completely unhouse-trained, shouting and larking about until the early hours, making loud phone calls in the corridors at 4 am and so on. On raising it with reception, I was immediately offered another room on a separate floor, and was handed a new room key on the spot. Problems arise - it's how you deal with them that counts, and the staff here provided immediate resolution without prompting. Hopefully they chucked the rabble out as well. The club facilities were excellent. The club room itself is not huge, but at no time did we struggle to find seating, even around the July 4th holiday when the hotel must have been very busy. Breakfast, lunch and early evening snacks were provided alongside always-on coffee and sodas. The quality of the food - both hot and cold - was very high, and had clearly been produced in the hotel kitchen, not just thrown together from packets. Choice was good, options varied on a daily basis, and service within the club room was excellent. It undoubtedly saved us a small fortune (NYC prices have not improved since our last visit!), and provided a delightfully cool and quiet haven after hours out and about on the very hot and humid streets of the city. All round, we had an excellent experience of the Barclay and would definitely stay again.

recently stayed at the International Hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegant and welcoming ambience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. My room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully arranged. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the pillows were soft and supportive—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Every detail contributed to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I will definitely return to the International Hotel on my next trip. Highly recommended!

I've been visiting the hotel for nearly 20 years, and keeps getting better. I was contacted days in advance from the Guest Relations Management Team (Kudos to Floor! ) to ask for any requests. We booked two rooms, as I had the pleasure this time to take the family on a NYC weekend celebrating my son's graduation. All the experience was great from the IHG One Rewards Desk check in, the rooms were impeccable, my son got balloons at his room for his Graduation and cup cakes for all. We had a drink at the Parlor before hitting the city and again enjoyed and appreciated the attention to all details from the team. We also enjoyed the superb buffet with great selections for all the family . All in all a great experience. Congratulations Intercontinental NY Barclay team!

We arrived at the InterContinental Barclay to kick-off a bucket-list trip of a lifetime and the hotel couldn't have been a better place to get the journey started. Picking a hotel in New York to celebrate my husband's 60th AND our 30th anniversary wasn't easy and we couldn't be happier that we decided to stay at this gem of hospitality. Check in was great, thank you SOPHIE for being there and greetin us with your warm and welcoming smile, thank you also to Sofia for taking the time to personally say "Hello" when we arrived. The hotel's lobby and guest room combine a well preserved old New York style without being stuck in the past. Guest room was spacious, bathroom was beautiful, love the subway tile design and incredibly clean brightness. Had a couple of wonderfully crafted cocktails in the lounge and alsol enjoyed dinner in the the restaurant a couple of times. Creative and great dishes! Staff was very attentive in all areas! Location is very practical, as well, you can take long or short walks everywhere, it's easy to get to by any kind of transportation and of course centrally located. My husband and I felt very welcome, well taken care of and I can't wait to hopefully come back one day! Thank you for making a special trip so memorable!
