Hotel is fine, breakfast good But they want $75 to mail a sweater left back to me. What a punch in the gut from the hotel. How rude and non customer friendly. I was willing to provide postage but no, $75 for mailing is my only option. This is aggressive and I will never stay here again.

Mario and Anthony were the bartenders in the very nice lobby bar. They were extremely friendly and made our bar experience more enjoyable.

I have stayed at The Barclay on many occasions over the last eight years and is by far my favourite hotel in New York. However, this has to be my favourite stay to date. My Diamond Ambassador status was recognised throughout our stay and everyone did everything they could to make our stay even more memorable. For my birthday we had booked a Classic Suite, which was a peaceful sanctuary in the middle of New York. Housekeeping kept everything spotless for us and we both loved the hot showers on cold days in New York. We used the club lounge and were very well looked after again by the team there, with lots of delicious food for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening canapés too. Special thanks to Collette in the lounge for her attention and for presenting me with a delicious NY cheesecake with a lit candle for my birthday. The bar staff at the Parlour were helpful as always, I love the atmosphere in this part of the hotel. It is something very special that I have not found in other hotels in New York. However, the most treasured memory for me will be the night we arrived, the day before my birthday. I had received email notification of a jazz suite session, which was taking place that evening in the presidential suite in the hotel. We arranged to attend as long as we were not delayed. We were made so welcome by Sofia, the general manager of the hotel and her adorable dog, Bowie. The evening can only be described as a intimate one with an audience of about 24 people who had the privilege of an outstanding performance by two Belgian young men called Rutger Mathys who played the harmonica and Mael Idris who played the baby grand piano in the suite. The whole evening was just so surreal and even now feels like a dream. I had never heard of the suite sessions, but from now on I shall be paying much closer attention to what is planned when we are to visit next time. I would recommend these sessions to anyone with a keen interest in music.

Extremely poor customer service - front office staff behaviour was disgraceful. Definitely disappointing - suggest to find another hotel !!

Great experience at the Intercontinental for a conference with my colleague (1st time in manhattan for him). Staff were friendly, bed were great to sleep. Sophy at reception was the best! She able to accommodate our room request too thankfully!
