The best time....
I have stayed at the Intercontinental Barclay for over 20 years. I was there in March, 2026 for 3 nights. It always delivers on a very positive, first-class experience. Many of the staff, AnnMara Gayle, Leslie/Guest services, Arthur and Greg on the front desk and Jimmy who welcomes guests at the front door are familiar faces and the service they provide is impeccable. Many thanks also to Sofia Vandaele, General Manager of the Barclay, for her oversight during my stay. I had a similar experience staying at the Willard Intercontinental in Washington DC with much gratitude to Vanessa Perez and Chief Concierge Robert Watson. I enthusiastically recommend a stay at any of the Intercontinental properties around the world. Always a very enjoyable time with very well appointed, contemporary rooms. Thanks Intercontinental IHG!

Wonderful experience would’ve liked a different room
I actually always love going to the Intercontinental in New York although we already live in New York. We’d like to spend a weekend there and get some really nice downtime. The only thing I have a complaint about is that my room was 765. I could hear the elevators going up and down and as I was only there for a weekend, I didn’t complain, but I think you should know that you can hear the elevators, especially you’re trying to just rest.

Mother-Daughter weekend.
Another wonderful mother–daughter weekend at the InterContinental New York Barclay. This was not our first stay and certainly won’t be our last. Every time we return it truly feels like coming home. From the moment we stepped out of the taxi, we received the warmest welcome from Angel, the doorman. He is always so kind and goes the extra mile to make guests feel special, which immediately sets the tone for the stay. Everyone at the hotel is incredibly welcoming and attentive. We were treated like special guests from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. A special thank you to GM Sofia, who is truly the best host and makes every stay feel extra special. The Barclay remains our favorite place to stay in New York, and we already look forward to our next visit.
