Literally The Best!

The Stinger at the Intercontinental Hotel in NYC is absolutely incredible! The food and drinks are beyond any expectations, and our server, Eddie, made the entire experience magical. Please stop by - you won't be disappointed!

Nice hotel with clean rooms

Room was very clean. Overall hotel was very beautiful with nice staff, but the price of the breakfast buffet was very overpriced. Hotel gave you the option to include it in your stay but it was still overpriced for a buffet. Hotel also included resort fees that I didn’t use but was still charged

We don't care, we're NY Time Square, we don't have to.

I have recent experience of Intercontinental Hotels in Athens, Madrid, Montreal and New York. I also regularly use IHG hotels so am used to the brand offering. As one of their ambassadors, I regret to say this was the worst Intercontinental I've stayed at by some margin. Let's start with the positives. The location is great for midtown Manhattan close to everything you might need and close to the subway network. I wasn't expecting the ever present smell of cannabis in midtown but times change and that's not the hotel's fault, but if you don't care for it look elsewhere. Our check-in (using their ambassador desk) was quick, friendly and efficient. We checked in earlier than planned and the staff member went out of her way to be helpful. Unfortunately, after that, it went rapidly downhill. The usual loyalty bonuses weren't available at this location and the world behind the main reception area is tired and in need of renovation. The rooms were ok but again ours was tired and in need of some tender loving care. The room was not cheap, but the tv speakers were faulty and there were very limited available power outlets. No USB charger points and limited storage space. Pet hate - a sink with no plug - unfortunately this was the case in the bathroom and despite requests to reception none arrived during the stay. There were limited dining facilities compared to other intercontinental locations. Breakfast was essentially buffet continental, service was slow and disinterested. Request for an early, pick-up or packed breakfast on the day of departure was met by 'No breakfast starts at seven' - no attempt to really engage, find an alternative or show any meaningful attempt at customer service. Pricing is high and then drips on additional state tax, city tax, concert hall tax, amenity charge, mandatory 18% gratuity, service charge and expectation of a further tip on top and that made this venue poor value for money. I wouldn't be returning to this hotel in a hurry. Overall, staff were disinterested - there was a sense of - we're in Time Square, you don't like it we've got people waiting have a nice day. On leaving nobody asked how the stay had been and no interest was taken re a cab or directions or hope to see you again. A low point of my time with the IHG brand

Well-located, quiet hotel, but outdated. In need of renovation. Ebookers should warn guests that once the reservation has been made and paid for, there are still taxes to pay on site, which for us amounted to an additional $42 per room per night. When paying, it says taxes are included, which is not the case on place.

Just ok

Stayed here for one night as we were leaving on a cruise out of the port next day. Hotel is clean, rooms were fine albeit dated. This place has no frills. Only one place to dine. It is US open themed with a fun BJK photo op. When we were there a tennis themed happy hour was fun. They would not let me add my IHG member number as the room was purchased through my husband's work perks account. That was a bummer. One glass bottle of water was $15, but there was a food and drink credit added to the bill so it ended up being free.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the InterContinental Times Square. The location was perfect, just close enough to the action but still quiet ”enough".

The staff were all very friendly and incredibly helpful. We will be back.
