Mandarin Oriental, New York

My husband and I have been visiting New York every year for the past few years to celebrate our anniversary, and every year, we choose to stay at Mandarin Oriental, New York. Besides being a global MO fan (HK, Taiwan, BKK), what initially drew us to the hotel was the location - we love how accessible it is to Central Park and how easy it is to walk to the theater district, while still feeling peaceful and quiet. But over the years, our reason for returning has become something much more meaningful: the exceptional service. Year after year, we have been so well taken care of by the team. From Yarisol at check-in to Alessia, Elsa and especially John in the dining room, along with Missy at the spa, we are consistently greeted with warmth and genuine care. They recognize us, remember us, and make us feel truly welcomed every time they see us. There is something special about being acknowledged as returning guests and longtime fans of the hotel. This visit, we also had the pleasure of meeting the Guest Relations team—Paulina, Hannah, Miles, and Fabio—who were nothing but gracious. From the thoughtful room upgrade to the celebratory cake for us in our room, they made our anniversary feel even more special. We also really appreciated Ansul and Suzanne introducing themselves to us at breakfast. Those moments may seem small, but they mean a lot. Being recognized and welcomed by different members of the MO team throughout our stay makes the experience feel so personal and, honestly, makes us feel at home. It is also the little touches that stand out. Something as simple as having a screen wipe thoughtfully placed next to my laptop may seem small, but those details do not go unnoticed. They reflect the level of attentiveness and care that seems to be woven into the experience at Mandarin Oriental. We truly appreciate the consistency of the service throughout the years and the genuine warmth of the entire team. At this point, Mandarin Oriental is much more than a convenient place for our annual New York trip, it has become part of our anniversary tradition. We come back year after year because we know we will be well cared for, but more importantly, because the people here make us feel like we are coming home.

Chef Nordine Lahssini and team has supervised/ designed /cooked / created best , super tasty , healthy food with best culinary presentation to make us feel greatest with his experience from Europe , and Middle East with support Service at MO Lounge by Daniel Villanueva and team with best wine from Italian sommelier Thomas at speakeasy bar and Unique DJ music from Jack & Daniel

This is a review for the breakfast only. Service is first class, coffee is very good and the pastries are outstanding. The view, well, one of the best in the City.

Very good location, Rooms are ok, but not excellent. Seervice is so-so, concierges are absolutely helpless, the worst concierge service I ever met at 5-stars hotels, food is so-so… not a proper value of money paid
