Reviews for The Michelangelo Hotel

Hard to find comfort and kindness in mid-town

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 14 hours ago

The Michelangelo has been our NYC go to for many years. Henry is a constant in the lobby, ready to help with whatever you need. Overall the staff is attentive and kind. The rooms are not modern and may have a ding or 2 in places, but it makes up for it in charm and old world elegance. And the beds are super comfortable and have perfect pillows! Just remember to bring a wall charger for your phone.

Great Old Dame

Love this hotel. Short staffed, but accommodating where it counts and all were especially nice. Love the large, clean rooms. The bathrooms are dated (one sink and shower is combined with the tub), but large and clean and the towels were great. The rooms are especially spacious (twice the size of a standard NYC hotel room) and have everything one could ask for, with the exception of only sporadic room service. When there was no room service available for morning coffee, they should have at least provided complimentary coffee downstairs as opposed to charging $7+ tip. Great locations for touring NYC!

From the staff to the amenities, the hotel was brilliantly attentive. Henry (Doorman) was specifically very helpful when we needed a cab to the airport! The staff were extremely friendly and made our stay more special. The lobby has a great vibe and the rooms were quiet!

The corner room was fabulous!! All the doorman especially Henry were very helpful and kind. They helped us grab our taxi’s and hold our luggage for us. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was an overall great experience and my family and I had the best time.

Couldn’t have been better!

Where to start with this beautiful hotel with old world charm at a great location, close to everything in NYC. From the awesome bartender, Luna to the rest of the team our stay was stress free, fun, comfortable beds and beyond courteous, helpful and professional staff. Had the cheese plate at the bar and a nice glass of wine in the beautiful lobby while chatting with Luna who entertained until the rest of my party arrived. He made us all pomegranate margaritas that were so delicious we couldn’t find another so good in all of NYC! You will love being taken care of by The Michelangelo!
