Nine Orchard transforms a Lower East Side landmark into a dynamic 113-room luxury hotel. Originally built in 1912, the 60,000-square foot former bank has been lovingly restored, from the lobby’s soaring, vaulted ceiling to the domed tempietto on the rooftop. All rooms have oversized windows, filling the space with natural light and showcasing the beautifully restored molding and architectural details, quiet color palette, and heart pine flooring, with rooms on higher floors delivering incredible skyline views. The hotel is located on the Lower East Side, surrounded by cultural institutions, picturesque streets, and unique restaurants, in what has become one of downtown New York’s most exciting destinations.

Brilliant.
Absolutely exceptional stay in this boutique in East Village. Really well thought out, great bathrooms, linens, beds, excellent food, cute and well-appointed gym. New NYC fave.

5 star cool hotel
A lovely hotel in a great location if you want to hang out in one of the most fun and authentic neighborhoods left in Manhattan. The room I booked was very small even by New York standards but I knew what I was getting into and it was well laid out, quiet, nice bed and comfortable for one person. Staff was chill. Hotel bar is fantastic. Not a hotel for a classic tourist but if you love New York for what makes it great, this is a top tier spot.

Nailing all the details here. My room was small, but legitimately cozy. Epic bed, delectable throw, some solid music, turndown cookies, bottled water, sweet wine and an unapologetic mini bar. It truly felt like apartment living with boutique accoutrements. What it lacked in space, (which let’s be honest any true New Yorker would not complain about) , they made up for in spades with intention. Downstairs in the Swan Room was like a chic friend’s living room, but with better drinks. Morning eggs, a green smoothie, and coffee that hit the spot. Really want more do you need for a really great experience. Add in a deliberate staff that truly reflected the ambience and you’ve got pretty much a perfect 10.

Amazing experience all the way around!
I had the best visit to NYC ever at Nine Orchard! The queen room was cosy and extremely well appointed. Everything from the mini-bar to the in-room sound system was designed with the comfort of the guest in mind. The East Room is a fabulous shared space where I had breakfast with my daughter and drank my tea in the afternoon. The beautiful fireplace was a welcome amenity since the weather was frigid!! The staff was amazing from the front desk to housekeeping to the servers. A special thank you to Desi and Esteban for helping me retrieve items I carelessly left behind. You will love your time at this gem in Manhattan. This will be our new go to for NYC trips!!
