Nice old style hotel. We had the Berkshire Suite which was nice and roomy with a sofa bed. Bathroom was decent sized and the shower had great water pressure. Slight downsides: there was a glass paned door between the two rooms so the light could not be blocked. We were near enough to the elevators t o hear them. It didn't keep me up but might bother a light sleeper. Otherwise, we enjoyed that the building was quiet. And we had a central "courtyard" view of neighboring buildings. Lobby staff were great, especially Nate! We'll be back.

We are on a big family holiday from the UK and the Omni has been an amazing place to stay. What makes this place so amazing is the staff. I don’t think we have ever encountered such good hospitality in any hotel we have stayed. You usually get a couple who are nice then the rest just blah! But the Omni I can say everyone in the main hotel particularly the front door are exceptional. Lenny deserves a medal .. his energy and kindness has helped make our trip so special - such a great guy!! Our room was also very nice and housekeeping always helpful and great interactions with all those on the housekeeping team so thank you!! The only thing to note is the restaurant which we really feel lets this hotel down. We tried to eat breakfast there but the food was pretty awful and the general feeling isn’t one of a clean upscale NYC hotel. It feels like an old run down bar with a dodgy breakfast menu. The avocado on toast was out of a packet for example - it’s not fresh guacamole. I think if the hotel decided to change the restaurant for the better then this hotel would be 5*. Right now its restaurant brings it down to a 4* (and that’s being generous !!). Change the restaurant - make it clean and fresh etc and we would be back year on year!!

Truly exceptional staff and facility. Been staying there over 20 years. I always feel appreciated as a guest and recommend it often.

Friendly staff! Perfect location in a safe area. St Patrick’s cathedral was right around the corner as was Rockefeller Center. Spacious rooms. We felt very taken care of. Loved this hotel and will return here.

Just checked in today at the Omni Berkshire Place for a 3-night stay. I’m a Select Guest Champion member and so far the experience has been underwhelming. The location is great — right in Midtown Manhattan, easy to walk anywhere. The rooms are fine, clean and comfortable enough, but nothing special. That said, the service and loyalty recognition are a letdown. I booked two rooms, and both are on the 4th floor facing a very gloomy back wall. No mention of any upgrade or even a basic acknowledgment of status benefits. I wasn’t told if upgrades were unavailable — just no communication at all. I arrived at 2pm, and even though Champion members are eligible for early check-in starting at 1pm, I was told the rooms weren’t ready. I later found out they were ready around 3:30, but I didn’t get into them until nearly 5pm because no one followed up. The Wi-Fi is unusable — it constantly drops or loads painfully slow, which makes working or even casually browsing difficult. And the basics are missing. I called guest services to request slippers, and was told they don’t have any. This is something I’ve never encountered even at mid-range hotels. On top of that, I received none of the usual loyalty perks — no bottled water, no welcome amenity. These things are supposed to be included at this tier. Still hoping things improve over the next couple of days, but this definitely isn’t the experience I expected from Omni. I regularly stay with other hotel chains where loyalty status is actually recognized and appreciated — this stay so far hasn’t come close.
