Location great. Atmosphere good. Rooms, paid for high floor, park view, 2 Q beds, no bedside dresser w draws or surface area to put your book, water, etc, tiny refrigerator could hardly fit anything. No dresser, just a few shelves and mini dresser in closet, turning on shower or bath and figuring out how to get hot or cold water was a huge puzzle. The elevators were so unpredictable , could sometimes wait over 20 minutes. Top restaurant was closed after breakfast, lobby restaurant bar was open and closed intermittently without any signage of operating hours, long lines for check in & check out. Found a second floor small restaurant & bar by accident. Cleaning service was great, staff at Darling’s breakfast at top of hotel were outstanding, Betty & whole staff, Victor at concierge was wonderful. Hotel should reduce nightly rate when amenities are compromised.

Not worth the price. This was a fine hotel, but I do not think it deserves its 5-star status, and that rating feels misleading. The front desk staff was warm and welcoming, but I was not given the Amex welcome letter I usually receive, which typically contains important information about the stay. At check-in, I was explicitly told I had a 4:00 p.m. checkout. On checkout day, however, I was automatically locked out of my room and then told that no one would have said that because late checkout must be requested the day of and would have been explained in the letter they supposedly gave me. The problem is that I was never given any letter, and I was clearly told I had a 4:00 p.m. checkout. There needs to be much better communication from the front desk staff. When I checked into my original room, it had a wet smell, felt extremely hot, and the lighting was poor. The paint was peeling, the room felt outdated, and the bed frame was broken on the left side. I ended up paying to upgrade my room just to make sure the condition of the room did not ruin my trip. It was obvious the first room was not on par with the rest of the hotel, because once I moved, the smell was normal, the air was still warm but no longer boiling hot, and the bed frame was not splitting apart like the one in the first room. Even in the upgraded room, there were still issues. The coffee table had stains all over it, and there were champagne corks left behind from a previous guest. The bathroom itself was nice, but several towels had large gray lint chunks and hair on them, which I assume came from the dryer, and the shower floor still had soapy residue. When I turned the water on, the floor became very slippery and I turned my ankle. The room doors also slam very loudly, so whenever guests entered or left their rooms, the noise carried and woke me up periodically throughout the night. Breakfast was alright because it was included in my stay, but I would not have paid $75 for it. There were very few selections, and I found the staff pushy and rude. Plates were cleared while we were still eating, and I observed staff snapping at other guests instead of speaking calmly, which ruined the atmosphere. The hotel app was also disappointing. It allows you to order housekeeping items, which I tried to do, but I never received them and had to ask for them directly from the cart instead. I also used the app to order in-room dining, and the pricing was completely outdated. What I believed would cost around $100 ended up being charged as nearly $300. Anthony from dining services was very kind, apologetic, and adjusted the price, but the hotel should either update the app or include a physical copy of the menu in the room. I chose this hotel because I was considering it for hosting a large group and wanted to experience it for myself before making that decision. While the location is great, the service was subpar and there were far too many issues that I would not want guests to deal with. On top of that, I do not think the value is remotely proportional to the quality of the rooms, especially the basic room. Unless you only need a place to sleep, wake up, and leave, I would not consider this hotel preferable

We recently stayed at Park Lane and unfortunately would not return. The location is a highlight—especially if you’re able to get a park view, but the property itself feels very dated. Upon arrival, our room was 77 degrees and uncomfortably warm. An engineer came up and confirmed the system was not functioning properly and said he would speak to a manager about moving us. However, the manager never came to speak with us directly, and we were simply told that a room change was not possible until the next morning. We were left to sleep in a very warm room, which is unacceptable when paying nearly $800 per night. Additionally, we did not have a crib in the room as requested and had to wait for one to be delivered after check-in, which added to the inconvenience. The in-room steamer also did not work, which was frustrating when trying to get ready. The breakfast offering, priced at $75, felt underwhelming, more like an elevated continental spread than a full breakfast. Options included toast and pastries, bacon, sausage, yogurt, cereal, fruit, smoked salmon, juices, and mimosas, but it didn’t justify the cost. A major reason we chose this hotel was for the Darling restaurant, but it was not available in the evenings during our stay, which was disappointing and not clearly communicated ahead of time. Customer service was inconsistent, some interactions were pleasant, while others fell short. Additionally, as an Amex Platinum guest, our late checkout request was not honored. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations, especially for the price point. We constantly had issues and would recommend staying elsewhere.

Staying in NYC this year we wanted something close to Central Park but also something that felt a little boujee 😉 Enter The Park Lane Hotel, on Central Park South Check in whilst our room was not ready (we didn’t expect it to be!) it was seamless, and benefitted from an upgrade to Park Panoramic room which was on a high floor of 32!!!!! And what a Panoramic view it is 📸 This hotel is made up of 46 Floors, with a rooftop bar/restaurant Darling!!!!! 🌹 Darling is the name of the bar/restaurant which also serves as a breakfast venue too. We were on a B&B rate so benefitted from this. Wi-Fi is quick and easy to connect and you can also download thePark Lane app for additional benefits. The Room was large but did have some wasted space which could have housed something whether more storage or even a sofa. The Pano view had two swivel chairs and a table which was wonderful to watch the world go by 32 stories below. Aircon worked well - useful for us as we hit a hot spell. Hotel was clean and tidy with attentive staff but we did encounter a couple of problems ordering ice for a strained ankle and ordering a bottle of bubbles as well as they appeared to only have Magnums 🍾 🤷♂️ Anyway we did make note of this an a complimentary bottle of Prosecco did arrive unprompted. Nice touch. Location was 10/10
