The elevators were a nightmare only 3 were working and for a 50 story building was horrible. Always full and long stays.. my reservation was through Amex and no special perks !!

I booked a reservation for one night at the Park Lane via Priceline. (I had done this once before, in Nov. 2024, and the reservation went off without a hitch). Upon arrival, I was told that my reservation “could not be found” in the hotel’s system. I presented the desk agent with my Priceline confirmation number and the entire booking receipt. He asked me to step aside as he contacted the manager. The manager— I believe her name was Shantal— arrived and never spoke to me about the issue. I asked what needed to be done, whether I should call Priceline myself for additional assistance, but was told that wasn’t necessary. I waited for 30 mins without an update. When I went back to the desk, I asked for an update and the agent indicated he would check us in as a “walk-in” and, under his breath, mentioned something about sorting it out on Monday. I must note that neither he nor the manager were welcoming or apologetic. We checked out the next morning (Sunday) and I asked for a paper copy of the receipt. The receipt showed that the only charge on the room was the destination fee of about $60. In addition to obtaining a hard copy of the receipt, I confirmed verbally that this was the only charge on the room and was told yes. On Monday morning when I was back home (out of state), my credit card notified me that I had been charged $538.17 by the Park Lane Hotel. I immediately contacted the hotel and was told over the phone that they couldn’t find my reservation, so I had been charged for a full night— keep in mind that this charge was run on my credit card a full 24 hours after I checked out. I spoke with Daniel Reyes, accounting manager, via email who informed me that Priceline could not locate the reservation in their system and as such, the hotel charged me directly. Stating that Priceline could not find my reservation in their system was a complete and blatant lie— I sent Daniel the confirmation number directly from Priceline’s website, and the hotel refused to honor it. In addition, when I contacted Priceline myself, they could see that the reservation had never been activated by the hotel. I wound up having to call Priceline again and they refunded me the booking fee and provided an additional 20% of that booking fee as a gesture of goodwill. TL;DR: Park Lane seems to not want to accept Priceline reservations even though their hotel is on Priceline. If you book through Priceline, they may lie and say your reservation cannot be found and charge you the full-price of a room without your direct authorization. Do not give them your money.

Horrible Noises in the room, i think from the air conditioning of other rooms, we change the room and the noise did not stop, we could not sleep, and bad smell, bad elevator services, long waiting for the elevator , It is not a 5 star hotel.. It is not a new hotel.

Hotel rooms would not cool below 73 degrees. It was only between 88 and 90 outside. Even at night, the room would not cool. This is an old building that’s needs overhauled. I have stayed here numerous times but this will be the last. Staff did the best they could do but owners are milking all the money they can instead of upgrading and repairing. Rooms are adequate size but dark as the can be, 2 lamps with 40 watts and a corner lamp. Besides that, they give you 1 refillable water bottle with 2 floors that have a refill station in a 47 story building that’s elevators would take 20 minutes to go and come to your room. I’ve stayed at Days Inn that had better accommodations than this. I think the Preferred Hotels is a joke unless they require their hotels to be of a certain caliber

The Park Lane is undeniably a beautiful hotel with a stunning building and luxurious ambiance. However, my overall experience was tainted by the behavior of one of the front desk receptionists, which made my stay uncomfortable. When I approached the desk, the receptionist whose name I believe was Soda greeted me with what felt like an attitude. I explained that I used the “flex pay” method to book my reservation and asked whether this would cause any issues or double booking. Instead of calmly helping me, she seemed unsure of the process and began raising her voice in front of other guests. It was embarrassing, especially considering the upscale nature of this hotel. As someone who doesn’t typically stay at high-end hotels, using “flex pay” made this trip more accessible for me I was in town for a wedding, and many guests were staying at the same property. I was looking forward to a great experience, but her dismissive and unprofessional attitude left me feeling unwelcome. The situation could have been handled with more patience and courtesy. Due to this experience, I would not choose to stay at The Park Lane again. I hope the hotel provides better customer service training in the future.
