We arrived at the pendry from a long haul flight from London. We commuted from JFK to the pendry and were absolutely exhausted when we arrived. We got to 34 st penn station and walked over to the hotel. As soon as we got out front, we were immediately greeted by a staff member named Dillon who immediately rushed out to welcome us and assisted us with our bags. Not wanting to bother him, I asked if he could help only with my wife’s bags and I’d handle mine but Dillon was having none of it and insisted we make our way into the warmth from the bitter NY cold and that he’d bring in all our bags. A legend. He was our first real encounter in NY and he was beyond polite and welcoming. In fact, anytime throughout our stay we’d see him in the lobby, he’d greet us with the same genuine kindness and routinely helped us with guidance navigating the local area anytime we needed. A consumer professional and an asset to Pendry! He ought to be recognised and hope he is. Beyond this, we had a 5 day stay at the hotel and its was phenomenal. Once we proceeded to check in, we were advised that we have been upgraded to a skyline suite room on the upper floors. This was entirely unsolicited and a genuine gesture of kindness from the hotel. The amazing first impressions kept on rolling . We then went up to our room and we were immediately taken back by the sheer size of the room. You don’t exactly expect sprawling space in NYC to begin with, but by any standard, NYC or otherwise - this room was huge. From the lounge and bed area to the separate bathroom. Was in awe. The decor is also very tasteful. Very simple yet super elegant. Very sophisticatedly curated rooms. Being in the heart of manhattan, the views were awesome. Far and away better than the photos online which was yet another nice surprise, Transport wise, given the hotels central location and it basically being on the doorstep of Madison square garden and penn station - you’re never too far from anything, regardless of the direction you need to go. The staff across the hotel is also super polite and always on hand to help with a genuine smile. None of that “I’m only here because I’m being paid”. They seem to genuinely want to help. Great bunch. Louis from guest services was particularly helpful in this regard. An amazing experience at the Penney that exponentially enhanced our USA holiday, Will deffo be back, A+++

We had a wonderful yay! The service was extraordinary from dining to reception to the bell services. Juan made sure our car was ready on time, loaded up and gave us directions on how to get out of the city. We will be back!

Every stay at the Pendry is perfection from start to finish. The warmest welcome, the most well appointed rooms, and service second to none. Most recently Dillon greeted me at check in and was fantastic.
