Reviews for The Quin

City break, convenient location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Hotel was clean, comfortable and easy to find. Very close to several subway lines. Distance to Central Park for a stroll was easy. Staff were lovely, especially the front of house. We had a higher floor room, it faced inwards, so no view and did limit some daylight, but it was good for limiting noise from the busy city streets. Sure, a lobby bar would be nice, but there are a couple of nearby bars. We didn’t sample Acadia which is housed in the same building.

Business trip. Location was key

It’s ok. Good location. Service used to be better. Stayed here 4 times already. Rooms could use some better maintenance. Elevators could be changed. Breakfast on the last visit was a big issue. It was included in our rate, but instead of allowing the use of the next side restaurant, they gave us vouchers for a dinner 3 blocks away. Not a 5 star type of service.

Great location at a reasonable price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

This hotel is an excellent value, offering quality accommodations at a great price. Its location is hard to beat—just a few blocks from Central Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, and with convenient access to the subway. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for New York, especially the bathrooms, which offer ample storage with plenty of drawers and hangers. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and never overcrowded. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this hotel is a smart and comfortable choice in the heart of the city.

They pressure you to buy a timeshare

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

We recently stayed at The Quin New York. The hotel itself is excellent — clean, modern, and ideally located near Central Park. The staff is warm and helpful. However, we were hounded with multiple calls and emails until we agreed to attend a 60-minute “no-pressure” timeshare presentation in exchange for $225 in Visa gift cards. The presentation took longer than promised. We were offered a whirlwind of offers scribbled on blank paper. It was all very overwhelming and the price tags were huge – going all the way up to $130,000. At the end we were directed to another desk, which we thought was to collect the Visa gift card we were promised— instead, another salesperson offered us a different offer. When we said we agreed not to put any money down same-day, his tone shifted and the pressure ramped up. He became visibly frustrated and questioned why we’d hesitate on such a “good deal.” If you stay at The Quin, I recommend you just enjoy the hotel. The timeshare presentation is a high-pressure sales pitch employing FOMO, scarcity pressure, and confusion through points and math.

Beautiful stay at perfect location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

It is a beautiful hotel, beautiful room. Staff were all friendly and professional, a lot of hospitality here. Front desk staff who checked us in was very professional and full of hospitality, (Asian lady in the morning of June 3.) as well as Jose (maintenance, for room 1503 in the morning for window shade) Thank you for the good stay and we will be back!
