We usually stay at the Ritz Carlton or Mandarin down the street during our annual visits to New York. We chose here this time to save around $1500 over a three night stay. I told my wife the savings would get her a new coat. Believe me, it was not worth a new coat. It was the worst mistake we could have made. The place hasn't been maintained nor updated in decades. The plumbing was old leading to cold showers at the end of each day. Two of the three elevators didn't work. The thermostat kept jumping from a.c. to heat when left at 74 in the middle of the night. We couldn't stream netflix b/c the internet kept going out. If you normally stay at a 5-star hotel in New York, it's best to keep paying the extra money. Never again.

The location is perfect but the hotel feels a bit worn out. The staff are friendly-ish. Our bedrooms had views of scaffolding and nothing was said about this when we booked.

The experience at The Sherry-Netherland was top notch! The staff's attention to the little things was noticed and appreciated! The historic elements and decor of the rooms were all beautifully put together. Will definitely be staying here again!

We had a wonderful stay here. Very quiet. Clean and comfortable beds. Across the street from Central Park. Historic hotel. Currently is part hotel and part residence. The staff was very helpful. When visiting Manhattan, it is very important that the hotel is quiet and clean.

Just spent the most fabulous time in the Big Apple at the Sherry. Could not imagine a better place to stay… the staff was highly courteous, understated, and accommodating, the suite was luxurious, the amenities included fresh flowers, complementary newspapers, plentiful drinks, a great view and a prime location right across from Central Park. Awesome!
