Fall stay in NY with the family
We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel in NYC. The suite on the 28th floor was spacious and the views (!) unbeatable! The breakfast was great in terms of quality, service and atmosphere. Special shoutout to Benny and Manuel. You made our day always start with a smile. Thank you!

Sofitel made our wedding dreams come true
We have stayed at the Sofitel Hotel many times and it holds a special place in our love story. Because of that, we stayed there for our elopement in NYC. We cannot express our level of gratitude and amazement to everyone at the Sofitel for making our wedding day perfect. The Sofitel — and in particular Shevanie — went above and beyond our wildest dreams to make our day incredibly special and unforgettable. Their kindness, detail, and effort is deeply appreciated and something we will never forget. We cannot wait to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and many more special moments, at the Sofitel.

The physical renovation is quite striking--in a positive way. Yet, I found the staff to be as warm and welcoming, as always--from the reservationist to the doormen to the front desk staff (and management) to the housekeepers to the person answering when I called Guest Services. (I've been a regular guest here for more than 20 years.)

Fantastic experience at Social 45
I had a wonderful stay at Sofitel New York. The highlight was Benny D. from Social 45, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. His exceptional service truly made our experience memorable.

fabulous hotel
Five women on an overnight trip to NYC and we all loved the Sofitel. From the reception at the front desk, to the fabulous, clean, comfortable rooms. to the delicious breakfast all excellent!! we can’t wait to stay there for our next getaway. A special shout out to Shevanie Gayle the Assisstsnt Dir of Front Office- you are amazing!

Firstly, the quality of the hotel is subpar for what I expect of a Sofitel. It is dated, drab and worn. The pictures online suggest a grand lobby/entrance and a bit of old-style New York glamour - it is none of those things. The rooms are very basic - no luxury elements at all - just two beds and dresser in our room. Our first room had broken items (closet, safe) and we were transferred to a new room which was fine and equally as basic.
We also ate at the GABY onsite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, which was terrible and the service was mediocre.
Net net, income would rank this a 3 star hotel experience and not at all the caliber of hotel I expected when I booked the Sofitel.
