Outstanding hotel. Service was excellent and beds are the best I’ve ever slept on

What a wonderful hotel stay! The NYC Sofitel, managed by GM Dieter Schmidt, with newly renovated rooms and suites, is a true first class luxury experience! Characteristic of each of the three hotels run by Mr. Schmidt at which we have stayed is a staff that clearly enjoys working there — happy, accommodating, friendly, welcoming and helpful! The NYC Sofitel is conveniently located in midtown, a few blocks from Times Square, Broadway and off-Broadway theaters, 5th Avenue shopping and fine dining options galore! Treat yourself with a stay next time you visit the Big Apple. You won’t be disappointed!

We stayed at the Sofitel on 44th St. in NYC for a week in February and were there during the blizzard of the decade! The hotel staff was exceptional from the doorman who helped us walk in the snowy, icy sidewalks, find taxis, and carry our bags to the wait staff in the bar and restaurant. No detail was spared, and all amenities were provided beautifully. The location is perfect to access MOMA, Central Park, the theater District, Times Square, etc. The lobby is beautifully adorned with fresh flowers and provided comfortable seating for gathering with others or waiting for a ride. We plan to always stay at Sofitel while in New York visiting our growing family. Thanks for the beautiful view of the Chrysler building from our room and excellent responsive service.

Perfectly located with comfortable und fully renovated rooms. The xx22 suites are more than recommended if you stay longer. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Manhattan. Excellent size room, much better than the cramped style of most hotels in the city, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Roomy closet. Good size bath, with separate shower/tub. Shower had great water pressure and temperature. Very quiet, which is hard to find in the city. Staff pleasant and helpful. Paid a little more than I normally spend, but it was worth it considering what we got in return. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
