Best experience
The only reason I stay at Sofitel is because of Eddie the bartender who is not only an amazing human but makes the best drinks in NYC! Raj is also the other reason , he makes everyone feel welcome and the experience is incredible. I highly recommend staying here because of these two individuals!

Safe choice for NYC stays
The hotel has been recently renovated and is quiet and comfortable. The location is very convenient with much food around and close to many attractions. Special thanks for Arian and his colleagues for making every morning a lovely start into the day! Will be back as usual!

Great stay in the heart of NYC
Hotel is great, renovated, with a sizeable bathroom which is uncommon in New York. But what impressed my husband and me most is the service. We’re here for a long stay, so the staff here have become like friends to us. We particularly enjoy our breakfast time, all servers are friendly especially Arian, he is the star!! Arian does make sure we’re taken care of, super friendly and genuine guy!

Fantastic, friendly service
I had breakfast in the newly opened restaurant at the Sofitel each morning during my stay and was very impressed with both the service and the food. Fantastic, friendly service from Arian and Beny, who always took the time to chat each morning. Great coffee and the croissants and the overnight oats were delicious.

Firstly, the quality of the hotel is subpar for what I expect of a Sofitel. It is dated, drab and worn. The pictures online suggest a grand lobby/entrance and a bit of old-style New York glamour - it is none of those things. The rooms are very basic - no luxury elements at all - just two beds and dresser in our room. Our first room had broken items (closet, safe) and we were transferred to a new room which was fine and equally as basic.
We also ate at the GABY onsite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, which was terrible and the service was mediocre.
Net net, income would rank this a 3 star hotel experience and not at all the caliber of hotel I expected when I booked the Sofitel.
