Graet experience at Sofitel NY
Great experience at the Sofitel NY at the 44st. Renovated Rooms and a unbeatable location in the center of midtown near all the places of interest of thi Big and Amazing City. Also the staff was great and take care of us like at home, Arian and Manuel from the breakfast service were amazing and welcome every morning with a smile and spoiled us as much as they can. For sure we are go to came back again in our next trip to NY. Thanks!

Breakfast at Sofitel
Had a wonderful breakfast at Sofitel NYC today! I’d like to mention Edmond at the bistro. He’s part of the waiters’ staff and really welcome and support us during our breakfast time. We’ll be back! Hope you’ll be lucky to be served by him!

The experience at the hotel’s restaurant is amazing. Food is delicious and great ambiance ✨ Arian is definitely the star waiter of the restaurant. Súper kind, attentive and professional. Definitely ask for him when you get to the restaurant. 100/10!!

Location is unbeatable. Very expensive as expected for the location. Front desk staff make you feel like you are ruining their day by checking in. Cleaning and porter staff however were lovely. Rooms very dated and not the cleanest. Good sound proofing from the noise of NYC. My first room had the roof falling in and leak on arrival after a 30 hour journey. Moved but no real apology or compensation even after an email and follow up.

GREAT ONE!
The lobby was always my daughter’s and my favorite part of the hotel. From the moment we walked in, we always felt genuinely welcomed. The staff was consistently kind and friendly, but Ray truly stood out. He was always in a great mood, greeted us with a smile, and made us feel at home every single day.

Firstly, the quality of the hotel is subpar for what I expect of a Sofitel. It is dated, drab and worn. The pictures online suggest a grand lobby/entrance and a bit of old-style New York glamour - it is none of those things. The rooms are very basic - no luxury elements at all - just two beds and dresser in our room. Our first room had broken items (closet, safe) and we were transferred to a new room which was fine and equally as basic.
We also ate at the GABY onsite restaurant for both breakfast and dinner, which was terrible and the service was mediocre.
Net net, income would rank this a 3 star hotel experience and not at all the caliber of hotel I expected when I booked the Sofitel.
