The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel

We stayed one night at The Surrey on September 15, 2025, with our 20-month-old daughter. We chose it because of its Corinthia affiliation (we’ve been loyal to Corinthia London for over a decade), and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we pulled up, service was exceptional. The bellman greeted us warmly, managed traffic so we could safely get our daughter out of the car, and handled our luggage with care. At check-in, the team was welcoming and thoughtful. They even arranged for one of our rooms to be ready early so our daughter could nap — something no other U.S. hotel has ever offered us. A manager also brought over a Surrey-branded toy for our daughter, which she has carried around ever since. The room itself was one of the best we’ve experienced in New York. Tasteful, modern décor, excellent lighting design, and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve found in the city. The bathroom was large, beautifully finished, and clearly designed with both function and aesthetics in mind. Housekeeping and room service were efficient, professional, and respectful. Everything about the staff reminded us of why we love Corinthia London: polished and personal. Checkout was just as smooth as arrival — valet had the car ready, stanchions set up so we could safely load our daughter and luggage, and the front desk team sent us off with genuine warmth. The only area that fell short was Casa Tua, the on-site restaurant. Breakfast service was slow, the hostess dismissive, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. It took over 10 minutes just to get a highchair, and simple items like water and milk for our daughter were forgotten. The food was fine but unremarkable. My recommendation would be to enjoy the hotel for its rooms and service, but plan to eat elsewhere — New York has no shortage of great options nearby. Overall, The Surrey is a rare find in New York: thoughtful hospitality, excellent rooms, and staff who truly care about the guest experience. We have found our new preferred hotel in New York.

My experience at The Surrey was excellent! The hotel is beautifully appointed, incredibly well kept and the interior design is NYC perfect. Everyone who works there is friendly, helpful and made my stay. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel!

Awesome hotel. Best neighborhood in New York City. Close to shopping and museums. Helpful staff and impeccable service. Great restaurant, food is delicious and good wine list. Strongly recommend.

What a wonderful and recently refurbished boutique hotel in the best part of NYC! We felt welcome and pampered from the moment we walked in. The rooms are beautiful, service just great, and staff just first class. Don’t miss it if you’re headed to the city.

This is an amazing hotel - the staff cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable and the facilities are excellent. The reception staff especially are very good, i will be staying again for sure
