Everything about the hotel was perfection for us. This hotel was the first stop on a 23 day birthday trip covering several countries. We arrived early expecting to be able to drop our bags to be held until check-in and head out for the day. But then we met Eddie. He allowed us to check-in early and took note that we were celebrating my birthday. When we returned for the evening, there was a fruit basket and other special food items waiting on me with a sweet ‘Happy birthday’ card. He provided a fabulous kick start to my trip. Everyone we interacted with was great. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I will definitely stay here again when we come back to New York!

Great location, comfortable beds, clean rooms, good food, friendly staff. Tried to rest during the daytime after a red eye flight and could not sleep or rest because housekeepers slamming doors, yelling and loud talking in the hallways. Management needs to address this issue. Otherwise a nice hotel

Gem of hotel just south of Central Park. Hotel staff was friendly. Room was just right (studio) for family of 4. Quiet room. Great stay. Will return!

Great place to stay and definitely splurge for the upper stories. The hotel is a great retreat for the city and the kids loved the lounge.

The Thompson has a very convenient location, close to Central Park and the Theater District. On a non-holiday weekend, there was a lot of waiting. A good 1/2 hour to get oatmeal at breakfast. And at least 15 minutes for an elevator to come to our floor. (One elevator was out.) First time in a service elevator at a nice hotel. For Hyatt Globalists or other travelers who prefer an elaborate bullet, don’t expect one here. The gym is below-ground, so no windows, but otherwise adequate. I probably would not return but the experience is likely better when breakfast is running more smoothly and all the elevators are in service.
