Great location to walk to broadway shows, great restaurants, central park. Staff/Service was outstanding and rooms/beds were so comfortable and nice. All the amenities you need for a perfect stay.

Great service! Sonia was wonderful!

Everything was great! Perfect location. Love the breakfast and dinner/wine service add on. My only criticism is that the rooms could be cleaner and the bathrooms have no counter space or hooks….there is no place to set any belongings at all in the bathroom.

Best felling in a hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 23 hours ago

This is my third time in this hotel and I need to say that it is like 'being at home' - the sophisticated environment, the good location and the delicious bed would be enough to want to come back - but the attention to detail and the care of the attendants, waiters and cleaners make us always want to extend the accommodation. IMPECCABLE

Not a luxury hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Hotel states its a luxury hotel and at first look it seems very nice. When you look closer all the woodwork is beat up, the inside is dark and the lounge is very worn. The carpets seemed new and a fresh coat of paint/wallpaper makes it look high end at first glance. The fire alarm went off in my room at 6:30, I was in the shower. I called the front desk, no one seemed concerned as I was the only one who called. I checked out within the hour. I will not go back.

A good hotel with the best location, but much room for improvements

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

Location It is literally on the corner of a subway station, and walking distance to the theatre district, central park, and the Lincoln center. The BEST location. Check-in Check-in was a breeze. The front desk staff were friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. While an early check-in was not available, it was not an issue, as I had already planned to spend the afternoon at MoMA. Returning later in the day, around 4 p.m., the check-in process was quick and effortless. The Room Upon entering the room, my first impression was that it was quite spacious. Beyond that, however, several aspects of the room showed signs of neglect and poor maintenance. The mirrors throughout the room were noticeably aged, with areas of oxidation and tarnishing visible in the reflective coating. The lack of basic amenities was also disappointing; there was not even a kettle for hot water or any instant coffee provided. The hotel did supply two cans of water daily, which was appreciated. Maintenance issues were evident throughout the room. The ceiling light near the entrance flickered intermittently, and the wardrobe light did not function at all. As a result, accessing the safe and organizing luggage inside the wardrobe became unnecessarily inconvenient. Additionally, the bedside lamps showed signs of poor upkeep, with the lampshades sitting crookedly and appearing worn. While these may seem like minor details individually, together they contributed to an overall impression that the room was not being maintained to the standard one would expect from a hotel of this category. The Bathroom The bathroom mirrors suffered from the same oxidation and tarnishing issues as those in the main room. The absence of a bathtub was somewhat disappointing, and the daily upkeep of the bathroom felt inconsistent. Simple details were often overlooked. The toilet paper was frequently left improperly positioned, requiring adjustment each day. Towel replenishment was also inconsistent—some days there were three face towels provided, while on other days there were none at all. Housekeeping I left a tip each day and generally received a level of service that reflected exactly that amount of effort. While housekeeping completed the basics, the service lacked the attentiveness and consistency one would expect from a hotel in this category. Breakfast and Evening Indulgence One of the stronger aspects of the hotel was the daily breakfast buffet, along with the evening "Indulgence" service offered on the 23rd floor. The concept is somewhat comparable to an executive lounge found at many Hilton properties throughout Asia. After experiencing the cost of dining in New York City, I was certainly grateful that the hotel offered these complimentary food and beverage options. However, the execution lacked refinement. The variety and quality of the offerings were fairly limited, and there was little variation from day to day. Overall Impression This property lacks many of the facilities and refinements one would typically associate with a five-star hotel. At the same time, the friendliness of the staff and the generally comfortable accommodations helped make the stay enjoyable. The assistance I received during both check-in and check-out was excellent, and the staff were especially helpful when I arranged for books ordered from Amazon to be delivered to the hotel. Overall, while I enjoyed my stay, there is considerable room for improvement. Better maintenance, more consistent housekeeping standards, and greater attention to detail would significantly enhance the guest experience and help the hotel better meet the expectations associated with its rating.
