I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It’s spotless, perfectly located, and the rooms are surprisingly spacious for NYC. The building itself is lovely and rooms nicely appointed. Enjoying morning coffee in the lobby lounge with a view of the Empire State Building was a nice little surprise. But the best part was the staff. When my nephew woke up at 5 a.m. with a terrible, sleepless cough, I was in a panic as nearby pharmacies were closed. Luc at the front desk graciously arranged for tea, lemon, honey, and a kettle to be brought up. It was a lifesaver and a testament to their incredible hospitality. Highly recommend!

Good Location - suited me well!. Nothing spectacular about the room, rather small for the price, maybe hyped up! Charges aren't transparent. The already small room stocks up with everything extras - it occupies the entire fridge and the space above it, so you have little room for your stuff!

I am still thinking about what an awful stay it was at the Hotel Seville NoMad this past weekend. Upon checking in, I was told that I was upgraded to a bigger room, which was a nice gesture. However, when I went into the room, it was very outdated. It didn’t look anything like the photos and faced a brick wall, close to someone else’s window. The photos online showed a nice, bright cheerful room but this one was very old and dingy. The carpet looked to be on its last legs along with the furnishings. The room had a very musty smell to it and the air conditioner sounded like a loud lawn mower that was about to call it quits. I figured it was due to it being hot outside and it was trying to work overtime but it shouldn’t sound like that. When the air conditioning went off, the smell got worse. I was really disappointed and honestly didn’t want to put my luggage anywhere, so I left it standing up on the wooden platform that was adjoined to the small closet fixture. I didn’t want to touch anything in there. I left the room and hoped to be out as late as possible as it was gross in there but unfortunately a rainstorm hit and I had to come back a lot earlier than expected. I didn’t want to be in that room! While I was out, I called and asked if they had mini refrigerators as I was going to get a pizza. I wanted to keep the rest cold for the next morning. They said they did and that they would bring one up. I asked if they could wait until I returned but if they could plug it in, in the meantime to get it cold, that it would help. They said they couldn’t. I didn’t want any more things to smell in the room, hence asking for it to be already cold. Plus, the food would sit out even longer in the musty room. They said again that they couldn’t plug it in anywhere. The man that I spoke to was really rude and was basically shouting at me. I came back early with the pizza and didn’t even bother again with the fridge. I went to bed early in hopes of getting up early to get out of there, but when I woke up, my right eye was inflamed, red and itchy. It was the one on the side that was touching the pillow. I haven’t done anything different with my normal routine. I believe it came from the pillow, sheets, towels or some kind of allergens in the musty smelling room. I now have to go to the doctor to get this sorted. And lastly in closing, I didn’t see any smiles from any employees or guests in the hotel. Same with me. I went back today to see what chain this hotel was from and I was floored that it was by Hyatt. My stay cost $321.38 and to be honest, it wasn’t even worth $75. I spoke to a manager about the issues today and she refunded the destination fee of $51 as that was the only amount she could since it was booked on a 3rd party site. I’ll be using that to sort my eye out and while we can’t say for sure where it got inflamed from, I think it was from the musty smelling room or allergens in it. She also asked why I didn’t report this when I was there which was a fair question. I thought my room was upgraded because the other rooms were sold out and figured they put me in a larger non-refurbished room. I was floored when the manager said today that the room I was put in was indeed refreshed, but that they haven’t put what the rooms looked like now, which is completely different to what they’re showing online. I can’t imagine what it looked like before in there! When I mentioned that the safety exit placards in the common areas that had “The James” literally scratched out on it to where it looked like a scary place to stay at, she just said “I’m sorry you feel that way.” This was not the experience I was expecting there.

Great location and big rooms for NY. I love the location of this hotel - one block from 6 green line so easy to get to Soho, UES and easily walking distance to Times Square. Morning coffee available in the lobby and also happy hour libations offered Tuesday-Saturday (would love that to include a Monday)

As always, our stay was incredible. This is my absolute favorite hotel. Even with some new faces, they were outstanding, as usual. They considered each detail and always accommodated my specific requests. I am extremely particular, and they exceed my standards every time. We just came back from a mini vacation, and we cannot wait to return. Prime location, clean, professional, and pure perfection.
