Pendry Newport Beach

The hotel and rooms are absolutely fabulous. Very much a 5 star resort. They have some awesome amenities to offer. They set up the beach for us and drove us there. They also do laundry free of cost. The food at the hotel was delicious but pricey. The cocktails also delicious but very pricey. Pool service was 5 star! We will stay here again

I left this stay feeling disappointed, especially given the reputation and caliber of this hotel. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of communication. I needed to confirm an important dinner reservation and attempted to reach SET five different times using multiple methods. Unfortunately, I was never able to speak with a live person, nor did anyone return my calls. I also had difficulty reaching the front desk when I needed bell service, which added to the frustration. The room itself also fell short of expectations. It did not appear to have been cleaned thoroughly before arrival. I've stayed at this property before and have always expected exceptional service, which is why this experience was so disappointing. It feels like the level of service has continued to decline, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously. This hotel has the potential to provide an outstanding guest experience, but improvements in responsiveness, housekeeping, and overall guest service are clearly needed.

Do not stay at this hotel. The facilities are below average to say the least. The honor bar charges are ridiculous! The food in the main restaurant is weird and not good. The service was mediocre.

Awful establishment. We spent 3 nights- 2 rooms for a total of 6 nights. We like to have a drink after dinner. We have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel bar. We were told we had to leave by 9 pm because the “tables are reserved for $1000-1500” since there is entertainment. The entertainment was a dj. Nothing special btw. How does a hotel allow this treatment of their guests? Who likes to be greeted at their table each night by being told they have to leave at a certain time? The valet service - at $70 per night is subpar. It’s easily a half hour wait to drop your car off. The texting service to get your car was not in service during our stay. There are so many options of here to sty in Orange County. Skip this one.

From check-in to check-out our stay was fantastic. My wife and I came with a group of friends and we all had a great time. When we got back from the pool our room was set up with a bottle of champagne and fruit which was a great touch. All the servers from the restaurants to the pool bar were extremely polite and attentive. We will be coming back.
