Coffee...good, service...good, fried eggs ...good, toast bad, no salt and pepper shakers on table, mashed potatoes excellent, meat cold.. fruit ...good, salmon...good.... 4 persons eating a normal size brunch....with tip at 20%... $ 240.. It was. not worth it even with the nice ambiance.....and I love the room.... I was really disappointed because it was a special day with family. I will not return for the reasons above and because they had no a la carte menu.

We booked a one-night stay at Pillar & Post for Mother’s Day, paying over $500 because my wife — a mother of three — had one simple dream: to enjoy the hotel’s famous Mother’s Day breakfast buffet. Instead, the experience became one of the most disappointing hotel stays we’ve ever had. Due to poor communication between the front desk and restaurant staff, we were given conflicting breakfast times. We arrived at 9:20 a.m. only to discover the buffet had closed at 9:00 am. My wife explained the situation to the restaurant manager and asked if we could at least take plates to the lobby, where we had been served dinner the night before. Manager’s response, directly to her face: “It is your fault.” Hearing that on Mother’s Day brought my wife to tears. When she went to reception for help, another senior staff member responded with visible irritation and simply said he could refund the breakfast. That completely missed the point. We didn’t come for a refund — we came for a special family memory that was ruined by poor organization and dismissive management. To make matters worse, the hotel sends guests an automated message warning them not to steal bathrobes or they will be charged. For a property presenting itself as a luxury 5-star hotel and proudly displaying Tripadvisor awards, treating every guest like a potential thief is incredibly off-putting and frankly humiliating. This hotel may claim to be 5‑star, but the service, attitude, and guest treatment are nowhere close. We left feeling disrespected, upset, and wishing we had chosen anywhere else. Serhiy Lukashev

We had a lovely time celebrating a special anniversary at Pillar and Post. Staff were amazing from reservation, through reception, stay, dining and Bloom Fest. The bar and Cannery Restaurant were outstanding. This vintage hotel has charming ambiance in a lovely village.

My recent stay at the Pillar and Post for the Niagara Blooms was amazing, the room was comfortable and well appointed, the grounds and facilities were so lovely. The event itself was so well organized and friendly, and the displays were fantastic. I had joined the Bonnet lunch and met new friends along with some fantastic food and wines, it was soo good! The service was excellent and the venue was so lovely. Everyone had a great time it was so much fun. The work that everyone did to put together such a wonderful event should be highly praised, it made for a special few days and l can’t wait to return in 2027!!🥰🌺🌸💞

Niagara-on-the-Lake in Bloom was the ultimate weekend getaway for Mother’s Day. Food at the Cannery Restaurant was a trip on its own. The buffet breakfast was great from custom made omelette, smoked salmon, waffles, to baked tomatoes, and more. Then the hot spring, spa, indoor and outdoor heated pools; a garden across the street, and the room was fabulous.
