I enjoyed my stay, room was spacious, spa was great, the grounds are beautiful, the pools are fabulous. I did have one issue that was pretty disappointing. When dinning at the morning breakfast, I grabbed rye bread to toast it and it was moldy. Ruined my and my partners appetite. For a fine dining experience, I would definitely expect better

Presently staying at this hotel, Started writing this review at 4:30am as the noise of what sounds like a nearby generator outside the room window is keeping me awake. Positives: The hotel is clean and comfortable, the room is spacious with no maintenance issues and has a good size bathroom. Weather was beautiful yesterday so we got to use the outdoor pool which was an unexpected treat. The Hot Springs was lovely and we finished our night off with a dip in the indoor hot tub. We have yet to visit the gardens but I’ve heard they are beautiful. Best staff member we met was a wonderful lady named Annette, she is a cleaner at the Spa and was very friendly and helpful. Negatives: We had stayed in NOTL at another Vintage Hotel the night prior, we decided to walk to Pillar and Post for a quick bite to eat from the other hotel and we went to the bar, there were 3 women on staff, I can’t say that any of the 3 looked happy to be there and we’re not in the least bit friendly., made us feel like they were doing us a favour by serving us. This soured our view on eating at the hotel again so decided not to eat there or at the Cannery last night, we went into town for dinner instead. The hotel has installed a “machine” that’s the size of a large vending machine in the lobby, it promotes the hotel via a realistic looking video of a woman talking and offering interactive service. This takes away from the class of the hotel, dies not fit with the traditional decor and it looks completely out of place and very tacky. Unfortunately I was awoken at 4:30am by what sounded like a large generator starting outside our room window, that went on for about 45 minutes, it stopped and then started again about 15 minutes later, at 6am I finally gave up trying to get some sleep. ☹️

First time away with partner. The staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. Room was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend checking out 100 Fountain Spa. Massage was so relaxing. Our experience was beyond our expectations. Absolutely amazing

Fabulous time with friends at The Pillar and Post! We were able to check in early and by a lovely lady at the front desk. We had a fantastic time relaxing in the outdoor pool and waterfall before heading to downtown town for supper. It is just a short walk to the downtown. The next day we tried out the indoor pool and hot tub. Such a relaxing time. Bonus: great coffee by the pool, soft comfy robes and a beautiful rose!
