Pillar and Post

Only reason I am not giving it a 5/5 is due to some minor updates that need to happen here . Chipped paint in room and throughout hotel . Some lounge chairs falling apart and smelling ( indoor pool area ) . Very beautiful hotel and staff friendly .

As always The Pillar & Post is a great place…nice relaxing atmosphere!

The lobby was very busy with people (non guests, it appeared) coming in and out during the weekend that we were there. My major complaint, however, is that they refer to their hot tub as though it contained spring water which can be very therapeutic due to its high natural mineral content. It appears to be a plain hot tub with chemically-treated city water which can be very relaxing but does not have the health benefits of natural spring water. Additionally, we could only use it for 15 minutes which we needed to reserve in advance.

We've been staying at the Pillar and Post for over 35 years. There are many reasons - the staff, the amenities, the location, the food. Customer service is top of mind for all of their staff. The heated outdoor pool is so enjoyable in the winter as is the hot springs. The gardens across the road is a must see, so beautiful! You can also enjoy it in the winter with it's skating rink and fire pits. You can grab a snack and/or a specialty coffee or hot chocolate there as well. I would highly recommend a stay at the Pillar and Post!

Myself and two friends had a wonderful stay at Pillar and Post at the beginning of March to celebrate a birthday. We began our day enjoying High Tea at the Prince of Wales followed by using the hot springs and pool at the Pillar and Post. It is so wonderful to have such beautiful facilities to use and we appreciate the pool being heated and available during the winter. The facilities and rooms are immaculate and the staff are highly professional. Thank you for another wonderful stay.
