For decades newlyweds and romantics have flocked to Niagara Falls for memorable getaways. These days they are sequestering themselves behind the doors of the Sterling Inn & Spa, the only boutique hotel to grace this epic region. Built in 1928 and once the home to Bordens Dairy, it was eventually converted into a nightclub and restaurant during the 1980s, and is now part of the Preferred Boutique portfolio and part of the Preferred Hotel Group. Its transition into a hotel started in 2005 with original architectural elements, such as the exposed ceiling beams and three-story milk-bottle entrance, incorporated into the new design. The result is a hybrid hotel combining the best of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a fine inn. Rooms tend to be spacious and thoughtfully appointed with oversize beds, roaring fireplaces, wet bars, and ample-size bathrooms equipped with raining shower heads and body jets. Suites offer not one, but two rooms with sitting areas and plush bedrooms.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It's not close to the falls, but honestly it is worth the stay. You can get a nice room with a jacuzzi for the same price as a standard room by the falls. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are modern and clean, and lots of space! We got breakfast to our door everyday and enjoyed it by a warm fireplace. Plus the noise level isn't as bad as Clifton Hill. 10/10 would come back!

This was our 4th visit and it did not disappoint. We had a deluxe large room with a king bed , sofa and steam shower. The room far exceeds our expectations. We find the staff friendly and helpful. We appreciate the breakfast, hot coffee , fresh croissants. We will visit again.

115 - Always my favorite! Been going to the Sterling Inn for many years and it never dissapoints. I was just there and I was excited to see they are updating select rooms. As usual, the breakfast in bed is the greatest touch and the 12pm checkout is awesome! Looking forward to going back soon.
