About the Hotel

For decades newlyweds and romantics have flocked to Niagara Falls for memorable getaways. These days they are sequestering themselves behind the doors of the Sterling Inn & Spa, the only boutique hotel to grace this epic region. Built in 1928 and once the home to Bordens Dairy, it was eventually converted into a nightclub and restaurant during the 1980s, and is now part of the Preferred Boutique portfolio and part of the Preferred Hotel Group. Its transition into a hotel started in 2005 with original architectural elements, such as the exposed ceiling beams and three-story milk-bottle entrance, incorporated into the new design. The result is a hybrid hotel combining the best of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a fine inn. Rooms tend to be spacious and thoughtfully appointed with oversize beds, roaring fireplaces, wet bars, and ample-size bathrooms equipped with raining shower heads and body jets. Suites offer not one, but two rooms with sitting areas and plush bedrooms.

Reviews for Sterling Inn & Spa

Clean, luxurious, comfortable

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

My husband and I went to the Sterling Hotel in Ontario for our anniversary. It was beautiful. Immaculately clean. The room was luxurious. The steam shower was amazing. They thought of every little detail. The daily breakfast in bed was delicious. The restaurant on site was also. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were so impressed and are already planning a trip back in the fall.

Fav place to stay in Niagara

This is our second stay here and just as good as the first. Rooms are HUGE and have fridge, coffee maker and safe. Clean and quiet. Room service breakfast is fantastic. Parking prices are reasonable (only $18 a night). Location is perfect. Close 5 minute walk to Clifton Hill yet far enough to be away from the chaos and noise. It's only two stories so obviously no view of the falls, but that doesn't matter to us as we have been to Niagara many, many times. Oh, and, I personally didn't like the pillows but I'm picky and my husband thought they were fine.

great hotel, very friendly and helpfull at check in, the room was amazing, the breakfast was great, more food than we could eat and on time. We loved where the hotel was located, very central to Downtown Niagara fall.
