For decades newlyweds and romantics have flocked to Niagara Falls for memorable getaways. These days they are sequestering themselves behind the doors of the Sterling Inn & Spa, the only boutique hotel to grace this epic region. Built in 1928 and once the home to Bordens Dairy, it was eventually converted into a nightclub and restaurant during the 1980s, and is now part of the Preferred Boutique portfolio and part of the Preferred Hotel Group. Its transition into a hotel started in 2005 with original architectural elements, such as the exposed ceiling beams and three-story milk-bottle entrance, incorporated into the new design. The result is a hybrid hotel combining the best of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a fine inn. Rooms tend to be spacious and thoughtfully appointed with oversize beds, roaring fireplaces, wet bars, and ample-size bathrooms equipped with raining shower heads and body jets. Suites offer not one, but two rooms with sitting areas and plush bedrooms.

We had the pleasure of staying at this boutique like hotel on New Year's Day for one night. All of the staff are super friendly and very helpful. Our room was huge with a small kitchenette and a nice seating/lounge area. Mattress was so-so but not completely awful either. Perhaps our room was just next in line to be getting a new one soon. We also had a little terrace which would have been great during the summer months but it was too cold to enjoy this time of year. The highlight of our stay was the "Breakfast in Bed". You fill out a card, choose a time and leave it on your outside room the night before. Our breakfast arrived right on time with french press coffee, fruit, yogurt, juice and the best freshly baked croissant I think I have ever had!! This is how a hotel breakfast should be. The on-site restaurant was closed as it was New Year's Day so we cannot comment on that but it does get great reviews. We are looking forward to another stay and will definitely be back. I think we just discovered the best kept secret hotel in NF.

Decided to explore Niagara Falls Canada for my wife’s birthday in January and had the pleasure to talk to Deanna the General Manager of this amazing Inn and Spa . This turned out to be the best decision and experience we have ever made ! There is no other place in Niagara Falls Canada to stay hands down. Everything from the cleanliness, amazing staff, beautiful rooms, awesome location, and impeccable food ! We have gone to Canada many times in the past and have decided that this is the perfect place to stay in the future for sure ! The difference is the boutique feeling where you’re treated as a special guest instead of a room number in a crowded hotel . It’s definitely the right choice for sure !

My friend and I had the best girls weekend away here! The front desk staff were so attentive to making sure we had everything we needed, and any of the other staff spoke to were also so kind and helpful. Definitely want to come back!

Had an awesome time. We went to dinner at the AG Restaurant, the food was terrific and the service was excellent. We also went for a couples massage. Both masseuses did an awesome job and the service there was smooth. We had room service for breakfast and also dinner on our second night. The food arrived in a timely fashion, it was warm and fresh. Front desk was nice too.

We started coming here during the pandemic and it’s been our favourite spot since for a weekend away. The rooms are so spacious and cozy, we love the vibe from the moment we walk in! The steam shower is so relaxing and all the details are appreciated from the robes, slippers, shower fragrance pucks and breakfast in bed. The AG restaurant is outstanding with seasonal cocktails and menu and a bonus, you don’t need to step outside to get to it!
