About the Hotel

For decades newlyweds and romantics have flocked to Niagara Falls for memorable getaways. These days they are sequestering themselves behind the doors of the Sterling Inn & Spa, the only boutique hotel to grace this epic region. Built in 1928 and once the home to Bordens Dairy, it was eventually converted into a nightclub and restaurant during the 1980s, and is now part of the Preferred Boutique portfolio and part of the Preferred Hotel Group. Its transition into a hotel started in 2005 with original architectural elements, such as the exposed ceiling beams and three-story milk-bottle entrance, incorporated into the new design. The result is a hybrid hotel combining the best of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a fine inn. Rooms tend to be spacious and thoughtfully appointed with oversize beds, roaring fireplaces, wet bars, and ample-size bathrooms equipped with raining shower heads and body jets. Suites offer not one, but two rooms with sitting areas and plush bedrooms.

Reviews for Sterling Inn & Spa

Very nice hotel and a warm welcoming.

Great hotel, very welcoming soon as we got there, even gave us a room upgrade, breakfast in bed was a bonus, just the parking could of been free this time if the year as it was out of season. Only 15min walk to the niagara falls boat trip and 5min to the small town with the shops and bars, would stay here again as my first choice.

A wonderful experience as always

The Sterling Inn and Spa is our favourite place to stay when in the Niagara area. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the rooms are so comfortable and very clean, and having breakfast delivered to our room is always an added treat. We would recommend the Sterling Inn to anyone visiting Niagara

Got married Sunday!!! My husband and I went there Sunday for our honeymoon!! Hotel is very nice and room was great!! Loved the 2 person tub and room was decorated with rose petals. Loved the breakfast in bed. Everything was very clean and quiet. Person at the Front desk was very nice. I was very very happy with this hotel and can’t wait to go back. I feel like I discovered a hidden gem.

This is my 3rd year staying at the Sterling Inn & Spa in Niagra Falls, and as usual, it did not disappoint. From beautiful rooms to a great breakfast each morning, the staff did everything they can to accommdate. I can't wait for our girl's trip next year and another stay at Sterling Inn & Spa.

Amazing overnight stay for my wife's Birthday

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

What can I say. Sterling Inn was a phemonenal hotel. Just a couple minute walk from clifton hill was great. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and stayed overnight. The hotel room was beautiful and CLEAN. We stayed in the steam shower suite which was huge. And the steam shower feature was amazing. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing time. They even made a cute swan towel arrangement with faux rose pedals for my wife's bday. It was fairly priced for a more higher end stay as well. Plus the complementary breakfast in bed was delicious! We are definitely going back again very soon!
