For decades newlyweds and romantics have flocked to Niagara Falls for memorable getaways. These days they are sequestering themselves behind the doors of the Sterling Inn & Spa, the only boutique hotel to grace this epic region. Built in 1928 and once the home to Bordens Dairy, it was eventually converted into a nightclub and restaurant during the 1980s, and is now part of the Preferred Boutique portfolio and part of the Preferred Hotel Group. Its transition into a hotel started in 2005 with original architectural elements, such as the exposed ceiling beams and three-story milk-bottle entrance, incorporated into the new design. The result is a hybrid hotel combining the best of a luxury resort with the intimacy of a fine inn. Rooms tend to be spacious and thoughtfully appointed with oversize beds, roaring fireplaces, wet bars, and ample-size bathrooms equipped with raining shower heads and body jets. Suites offer not one, but two rooms with sitting areas and plush bedrooms.

Really nice place to visit definitely would come again I have to say it was a once in a lifetime trip as I live in England highly recommend if you like the luxury style of life if you do go remember bring so warm clothes as it tends to get quite a bit chilly

Wow, what a hotel so classy and quiet. Loved the massive rooms and the breakfast in bed. The Sterling Inn is a little away from Clifton Hill (mini-Las Vegas) which is a good thing but still only a 15 minute walk from the falls, which is why we all go anyway! The area is quiet but safe. It doesn't have a pool but does have access to one at it's sister hotel although we went to sightsee so a pool wasn't something we wanted anyway! Staff were excellent and we got lots of interesting hints and tips. We didn't eat the hotel so can't comment on the restaurant. We did like the breakfast in the room idea - coffee/tea, orange juice, and apple, croissant and an egg dish was a great start and set us up well for the day of walking. I recommend the Sterling Inn as one of the best hotels we've stayed in while in the US (and yes I know it's Canada but this was a US trip for us!).

Sterling was a lovely place to stay. We came through from a wedding in Toronto to see the Falls. The surrounding area was SO touristy and not our vibe. Sterling Inn was a nice respite to return to for some peace and quiet. The staff were super nice and accommodating (particularly Juliette) . We had time to enjoy the spa services and it was lovely. Our room was very nice and clean. I would highly recommend to anyone coming to see the Niagara Falls.

Nice enough hotel with good size rooms. Just over 5 mins walk to Clifton Hill area, so convenient. One surprise was that they dont have a breakfast room - It is delivered on a tray to your room in the morning. This means you get what you are given with little choice on what you get and how much. Having said that, what was provided was OK. As with many hotels in town, parking is not included in your room price.

Exceptional in all areas. The staff are wonderful, pleasant and professional. Top notch clean rooms, really really clean. Love having robe and slippers and breakfast in the room. Love that there's a coffee machine at the entrance and cold water. Our go to place at Niagara even when we're not planning on using the spa.
