Exceptional Experience at Queen’s Landing!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We recently hosted our conference at Queen’s Landing, Niagara-on-the-Lake and the experience exceeded all expectations. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—elegant, well-maintained, and perfectly suited for both professional and social gatherings. It created a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere that left a lasting impression on all of our attendees. What truly set Queen’s Landing apart, however, was the incredible staff. We worked with Peggy Cernick, the Senior Conference Services Manager from start to finish. She was responsive, had great suggestions on how to make our event stand out, had a very positive energy and was simply a joy to work with. We worked a fair bit on-site with Paul Kurek as well, the Conference Operations Manager. He was there immediately, always with a smile on his face when our team required assistance. He went above and beyond assisting with issues that were outside of his role. Everyone we interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to making our event a success. Their responsiveness and attention to detail made the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. Finally, the service was nothing short of outstanding. Everything ran smoothly, and the team ensured that our event unfolded effortlessly. We felt supported every step of the way, which allowed us to fully enjoy the experience. Overall, Queen’s Landing delivered an exceptional experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with top-tier service and hospitality.

Beautiful Venue and Excellent Conference Staff, but a Rough Start to Our Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We stayed at Queen’s Landing in Niagara‑on‑the‑Lake for two nights while attending the OVMA Great Ideas Conference, and while the property itself is lovely, our experience was very mixed. When we arrived, we were assigned a room that had an overwhelming fresh‑paint smell. We were told the hotel was at full capacity, so no alternate rooms were available. We decided to stick it out for the first night, but the stay was difficult — the bed tilted downward at the head, and when I turned onto my side, the foot of the bed actually lifted off the floor. Between the strong paint fumes and the awkward mattress, sleep was nearly impossible. By morning, my wife was experiencing severe nausea and dizziness, which made the situation even more concerning. I asked about getting a fan to help air out the room and whether a different room might open up. The front desk suggested checking back later in the morning once guests began checking out. Thankfully, we were moved to a new room a few hours later, and the difference was immediate. The second room was bright, comfortable, and smelled fresh — exactly what we had expected from Queen’s Landing. Had we been placed in that room from the start, our stay would have been far more enjoyable. As a conference attendee, I will say the hotel staff and AV team were exceptional. The meeting rooms were well‑suited for small to mid‑size groups, and everything ran smoothly. However, the buffet‑style meals didn’t quite match the hotel’s reputation. The vegetarian lunch option — a curried pasta — was unfortunately not edible, and overall the food felt below the standard I associate with a property of this stature. Queen’s Landing is undeniably a beautiful location, and the rooms can be very comfortable — once you’re in the right one. If you’re not paying out of pocket, the experience feels more reasonable, but for personal travel I’d hope for more consistency in room readiness and food quality.

Perfect from start to finish!

I recently organized a corporate offsite at Queen's Landing, and the experience exceeded our expectations. From the initial planning stages with Jennifer through to the event itself, the staff, especially Peggy, Paul and Paula demonstrated exceptional professionalism, responsiveness, and attention to detail. The meeting facilities were excellent—well-equipped, comfortable, and perfectly suited for both formal presentations and collaborative breakout sessions. The event coordination team was proactive and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of our program ran smoothly. Guest rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment for our team after full days of meetings and activities. The food and beverage offerings were consistently high quality, with a variety of options that accommodated different dietary preferences and received positive feedback from attendees. The pastries were exceptional!! What truly stood out was the level of service. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our event successful. Their flexibility and willingness to go above and beyond helped create a seamless experience for our entire group. I would highly recommend this hotel for corporate retreats, leadership meetings, team offsites, or business events. We look forward to returning for future programs.
