Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel

Hotel is in a great location to explore Nice. It’s clean and feels luxurious. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are a good size (showers are the best we’ve used in a hotel!) It was my birthday whilst we were staying here and they brought me up a cake to the room, which I really appreciated and thought was a lovely touch!! Couple of negatives I have really is: 1- the breakfast service needs to be improved upon. The service is slow!! I asked for a cappuccino and received an espresso. I asked for a spoon to stir in sugar, this never arrived. On another day, I asked for some ketchup, again this never arrived. 2- Our stay was dampened slightly at checkout when we were told we weren’t able to use our loyalty points at checkout as we hadn’t booked directly (even though we were told at check-in these could be used). We had a flight to catch so I couldn't stay and debate the point further, so we paid the bill and left slightly frustrated. Overall we did enjoy our stay and I would stay at this hotel again if we return to Nice.

We've been visiting Nice & Monaco in May for the last 11 years and this was by far the best hotel experience & within walking distance of everything you can possibly need. Arrival at the hotel was wonderful with a beautiful reception and welcome drinks/treats. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The only slight downside was the size of the "balcony" which was so small, we couldn't sit out side which was a shame. The breakfast was outstanding, with prosecco/champagne on offer and the view was the icing on the cake. We ate at the rooftop restaurant (same one as breakfast) and the food was incredible. We didn't feel rushed and the service was perfect.

We booked a junior suit (room #316) upgrade, that should have sea view. Well, you could get a vague idea, but definitely no "view". At least the room and bath room was bigger. However, flooding the bath from the shower, while the door was closed, was a no brainer... The restaurant and breakfast service is most of the time completely overstrained. Orders take very long, and chances are high, that ordered things got mixed-up. However, the roof top terrace is a great place, as is the restaurant's view. What irritated me most was, that there are many things you could do but everything is charged extra: hotel claims a private beach => reality: it's a private, highly packed, area on the beach, which costs 7€ extra per towel. Of course, this is not a critical amount but why? The room prices are not super low... The same goes for any group courses. I don't know any 5* hotel in CH, that charges you for these things. This just gives a bit of a narrow-minded impression. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very nice and the location is perfect. High season price-value ratio is average. Don't get me wrong, it's a real nice place just be prepared that you pay a lot for it.

Overall wonderful experience. Make sure you request a room with a Sea View. Floor 4 or higher. Breakfast was wonderful. Extensive spa but no pool. Would stay there again.

We just had our honeymoon at the Anantara and it was beyond what we were expecting. Huge spacious, clean & modern rooms with the most refreshing AC cranking at all times. Our reservation came with complimentary breakfast on the rooftop and the breakfast was so phenomenal we never bothered to eat breakfast anywhere else the whole trip. Not to mention the beautiful beach views from breakfast. The concierge were extremely helpful with getting us difficult restaurant reservations and even helped with beach club reservations and hair appts. We are already dreaming of coming back for our anniversary. Absolutely loved it!!
