The hotel stands out for its prime location, a three-minute walk to the beach and a five-minutes walk to the old city. Also an easy access to the relevant public transport, and hence to the entire city. The service is friendly, attentive and helpful, just as you can expect from a hotel for this class. However, even the service in general is excellent, the receptionist team of Mrs. Alissa and Mrs. Sharon absolutely deserve a special recognition. Outstanding friendly, even in very stressful situations never losing their smile and friendliness, taking care of every problem (and even several at the time) is a work attitude which I have not experienced many times. These two are, without any doubt, a big plus for the hotel and make the difference between excellent and outstanding.

The best thing about the Anantara Plaza is its location. Prices are through the roof and do not justify cost. Our $1K suite should have been called a dorm room with a space divider and faced an interior courtyard. An aperol spritz was 21 Euros and came in a smallish wine glass. The only positive was the buffet breakfast which was included with the “suite” and which was bountiful. I would not return as travelers to Nice have a myriad of options - including a slew of other recently modernized properties in equally good locations.

The rooms are beautiful. Spacious and luxurious. I had a big problem with the concierge. They are not very knowledgeable with the French Riviera. They gave me very bad information for my day trip to Monaco. The restaurant recommendations were also terrible.

Location was excellent--very short walk to the Promenade, markets, Castle, Hill, train station, countless cafes/restaurants, and everything else we cared to visit. The rooftop restaurant was outstanding for both daily included breakfast and dinner. Concierge was top notch and made excellent recommendations and handled reservations for us. Short uber ride from the airport. Only downside is the balconies are not really large enough to comfortably sit on.

Junior suite was very comfortable and had an excellent view. Concierge helped us get oriented to Nice and beyond. Service at breakfast was slow and not always friendly. Left our table at dinner because service did not appear. Told waiter we were ready to order. He nodded, said he’d be back, then disappeared.
