One of the best hotels in Nice. Great and spacious rooms, friendly and professional service, amazing location. A must-try is the restaurant on the rooftop!

Its was our second stay in this hotel. Because we loved it last time. Unfortunately this time was not so good. We booked garden Suite room but instead got view on the opposide house. They changed our room for smaller one with better view but not the suite. No welcome sweets, no flowers…. Nothing…. And on top of all they charged my credit card in final bill for the goods for mini bar that we did not take…. Small detail , but unpleasant….. I suppose to come to Nice next month, but not to this hotel……

I had booked premium water view room with balcony, once I got the room, it looked soliciting and small. Balcony was a small 10 inch wide strip and nearly no water view, u had to stretch your neck way outside to see the water from some far angle. I paid extra 700 Euros on top of what I already had paid to be moved to room 517 on 5th floor. Room was bigger with much better view with a nice balcony but guess what?!? Restaurant and rooftop bar was on top on level 6!!! You heard chairs and tables dragging none stop above your head during breakfast staring from 7 am till dinner almost 12am and this room is 1800 euros per night!!!

I usually stay at Le Negresco but decided to give the Anantara a try because it was slightly less expensive and it is right in town so a great location. That’s where the positives end. Our check in after a long long overseas travel day took 45 minutes with a new not well trained front desk employee. When we finally asked for a front desk manager we were told there were non on property. We were promised 2 rooms with 2 twin beds but there was an error and only one room had twin beds. We finally gave up and just took the rooms because the kids were so tired we couldn’t deal with it any longer. Upon check in, one of the rooms had hair in the shower, no trash cans, a sink that clogged, a broken cupboard door that fell off the rails every time I opened it, etc. We also were not advised that our rooms faced the Nice Jazz Festival and so that meant we could not go to sleep until after 1 am for the first 3 nights of our stay. On the 4th night, we were awoken at 5:30 by a false alarm. I spoke to a front desk manager and explained my frustration and that when you spend a lot of money on 2 rooms at an expensive hotel, you want to feel as though you’re getting your moneys worth and I definitely did not! She called me later that day and offered to upgrade our rooms from partial sea view with balcony to premium sea view with balcony. My daughter and I took the upgrade but my husband and son weren’t sure they wanted to pack up and move rooms. But my daughter and I left Nice and went to st tropez for the day so the hotel moved our luggage for us into the new room. We loved the new room and we unpacked. Again. The following day, my husband and son decided to change rooms as well. They moved all their luggage up to the new room only to find out that the room did not have 2 twin beds as promised. We were promised that the room for my son and husband would have 2 beds in the new room as they did in the old room. But the hotel moved my daughter and I into the room where the bed could be split into 2 beds but my husband and 19 yo son were in a room with one bed. They took no responsibility and said it wasn’t a big deal for us to switch rooms again despite the fact that we had completely unpacked, showered, unpacked all our toiletries etc and then after a nice dinner had to come back and pack up yet again! Again, there was no manager available ti talk to us. I spoke to a manager the following day and asked for some sort of reduction in our rate but she never got back to me and when I checked out the bill hadn’t been adjusted in any way. By the way, unrelated to my stay, the lobby is very mediocre. Nothing special at all. So all in all, a very disappointing yet expensive stay.

From the moment we pulled up until the moment we left, our stay was exceptional. The level of hospitality was outstanding, and every member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. Service was consistently prompt, warm, and attentive, often anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. The thoughtful amenities and attention to detail made everything feel effortless and elevated the entire experience. The only minor hiccup involved our late checkout benefit through The Edit. We had been told at check-in that we had a 4:00 p.m. checkout. Before heading to the beach club on our departure day, we stopped by the front desk simply to confirm the time. We're glad we did, because our room keys had only been programmed to work until noon. The front desk immediately corrected the issue, reissued our keys, and everything was resolved within minutes. I mention this only so future guests using The Edit or other programs with late checkout benefits may want to confirm that their room keys have been updated as well. It was a small oversight, but one that could have caused an inconvenience if we hadn't checked beforehand. Overall, this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had. The exceptional service, beautiful property, thoughtful touches, and genuine care shown by the staff made for a memorable stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nice.
