Excellent hotel in a beautiful coastal city
The Hotel La Perouse is in a great location literally across the street from Nice's beautiful oceanfront walk. It's a really unique property built into the rock underneath the city's old fort. The staff is attentive and super helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The most overrated/terrible hotel in France! Or you can say Europe
I arrived to the reception and was on my honeymoon.. i was surprised by how much unprofessional it was the treatment by the staff. The way the hotel designed was terrible. You need a map to navigate through and I recommend you to train your muscles at least a month before you come so that you can climb up to your room. The room “after you climb up there” was too small 18 m2! And once you get your body on the bed you start smelly bad because of the bed covers that were improperly cleaned out. You can’t sleep or get rest during the day because the rooms are not fully isolated and you hear everyone talking in the dining area. Above all of that the price was more expensive than a decent 35 m2 king room with terrace in the heart of Nice by Hayatt Regency!!! I changed the hotel and they have a. Stupid policy! They tried to make me pay the whole stay! Terrible staff they threatened to call the police!!!

Good hotel, excellent location
Great hotel, however, the rooftop jacuzzi had been removed in the renovation last year, which is a big minus.

Number 1 in Nice
There is a reason this hotel is rated as one of those small luxury hotels of the world. Its location is unrivalled. A very unique offering. The building (@1936) is very quirky and is architecturally significant. ***The views from the roof top sun terrace are absolutely breathtakingly magnificent. It's tucked away from the busy prom and city yet just a stone's throw away. Food in the restaurant was divine. Great room service menu. Pool, sauna, gym. Breakfast extensive. Staff so professional and so helpful and courteous - everyone from Paul to the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeeping staff. Couldn't do enough for you. I will 100% return. Arguably the finest hotel in Nice given the location and what it offers.
